Great for camping
Had our first camping trip with this cooler and very impressed! We were able to fit way more in the cooler since we didn’t have to have room for ice. We plugged it in ahead of time, filled it, and then drove 4 hours. Everything was still cold when we got there. I left it set on the coldest temperature but quickly learned how well it works and had to prior the lid to let things thaw out. After adjusting the temperature it worked perfectly. Also didn’t notice much temperature change when we had to open it to get stuff out. It runs fairly quietly.

Do not buy
If u buy this product get a warranty if it lets you.. this only last for 120 days.. after that good luck.. you will get errors F1 or F6 and at that point it’s done.. the manufacturers will not answer the phone or emails.. I sent several emails and called 30 times.. if you can get a different company to buy something like this.. go that route because you will be pissed if you get this one..

Can't connect the cable after one use update
Love the idea of this portable refrigerator but on the first road trip, it came unplugged and now I can't connect it. Update: it was a user error on my part which Amazon customer service helped me fix. Love the product and service.

Wonderful product with only ONE problem and one slight irritant
I live full time in the desert Southwest in America. It is quite hot here for about seven months of the year. This unit will augment my refrigeration, since the other one I have is smaller and quite full, thus preventing adequate air circulation. The ONLY problem is that it is a VERY energy-hungry device. Both units are powered by my 2,400W solar battery, and I find I must either turn this new AC-powered one off at night (the temp falls dramatically at night) or turn the other DC-powered one off to conserve energy in the battery, and I must recharge my solar battery every day, something I have never had to do before. The small irritant is the VERY bright white temperature light. I wish there was a way it would cut down in darkness, but there isn’t, so I make it invisible by putting something over it. These two items are why there are only four stars; fix them and the fifth comes back.

Day 1 - appears to be well built and perfect for roadtrip
Bought this for a 2 week cross-country road trip. Opened box and started set-up - super easy. I did not know it came with the battery and the instructions don’t have much info on battery use. It will be plugged into the car or the electrical outlet most of the time but I will rely on battery while out on excursions so it will be interesting to see how it holds up / maintains temperature. Overall it seems like a great piece.

Fridge or freezer
I tried as a fridge and as a freezer. Can only be used as one or the other. I was not disappointed. Not very big inside so don't expect a lot of space but UT does work and even though set up was a little confusing at first so read the directions and keep them handy.
