I am a professional AV manager. I thought it was DOA. I was wrong.Volume control on the cord is backward. Looking at the labelled side (etched trapezoid), the volume increases when it turns counter-clockwise. Normal volume increase is a clockwise action. As this is an in-line thumbwheel that can be accessed from either side, one would expect the volume to increase when the thumbwheel is moved in the direction of the speakers, like most headphone controls.This volume control moves the opposite direction of audio equipment convention.Otherwise it is good sounding and loud enough for the small classroom in which it will be used.

These won't rock your party, but they put out clear, clean sound for my little monitor/television.Plug and play, and the cord length is decent and easy to separate (as my power source to plug them in is separate from the telly). I'm satisfied for the price...these def outperform tabletop speakers from the common discount-type store.

These speakers have worked great for us. They're small but have great sound. I'm glad we got them and recommend.

These speakers are $16.00 for a reason, I wasn't expecting a powerhouse of sound with teeth shaking bass or anything, but they reproduce mids/highs sufficiently and they are powered but could benefit from a bit more power to get them moving, plan on adding a small powered subwoofer which will help fill in the lackluster lower end of the frequency range. I'm using these speakers for a small TV/monitor in my breakfast nook, where they aren't terrible, but then again, I wasn't expecting THX cinema quality, and are definitely a small step up from the cheap, tin-y, tiny speakers that the TV/monitor has built-in and are oddly firing straight back out of the rear panel of the unit, so these speakers are a step up with their front firing speakers. BTW, the passive radiators built-in each enclosure are more of a novelty than functional, the time/money spent on engineering, producing, and added assembly of the passive radiators into each enclosure could have been better allocated into the amplifier and rotary volume knob assembly which is poorly crafted and actually completely came apart the 1st time I went to adjust the volume using the in-line thumb wheel, immediately afterwards I spoke to myself and said "Well, they were only $16.00, you got exactly what you paid for"... 🙄 😦 ☹️

For the price they can't be beat, the extra wattage is awesome as well as the look and stance of the speakers...

These speakers are NOT plug and play. Windows 10 will NOT recognize them. None of the dozen or so USB PORTS on my computer will power them. After an hour checking everything from configuration and trying to test them NOT A PEEP An inline volume control is sort of useless on a DEAD set of speakers.

These are very nice looking responsive speakers that are replacing the non functioning speakers built into my monitor. These have a much better sound and wider range. My only negative is that the built-in cord could be a few feet longer to accommodate different methods of placement.

These sound good and work well

They work perfectly for a cheap pair of speakers, pretty surprised with their quality for 15 bucks, didn't like the gold color, but don't really care, just wanted something cheap that works well and that's what I got, my only complaint is that the base could be better as it doesn't feel like they have any at all. But meh, for fifteen bucks you can't really complain.

Thies are not multiple driver speakers. I am using a 3amp block charger for the USB power. When I push the center cone in all audio stops coming from the speaker I push on. This tells 100% that there is only one working speaker the otheres are a passive radiator.Now that being said. At $16 they are way better then my lap top speakers and I have a gaming laptop. The sound does lack punchy bass as there really isn't. Now music still sounds Okey I can get a decent sound stage in audio when I close to thies speakers. There are a few cables yes but for the price they do NOT disappoint other then the fact the manufacturer has lied to us straight out lied. If I had more money I'd buy to just open up. In the future I may just do this.
