This is a birthday gift for my grandson. He loves it and follows me to practice with him every day. The material is safe and durable, so there is no need to worry about him breaking it. I am very happy to see him improve little by little, his dribbling becomes more stable, and his breakthrough becomes more flexible. We love these. My sons plays basketball and is on the shirt need of things so he needs to get his jump shot as high as possible and needs to work around the bigger guys. This aloud him to do just that. He was able to get his shot on even better and has improved so much because of it

These are decently padded. They come with the handle detached and then you screw it on. Some plumbing tape would probably go a long way on the threads when you screw it on to prevent it from coming loose easily when hitting them. A couple hits made the handle come a little loose. Overall happy with the item though and wil put it to good use.
