Oh no love at all for any of the boots period.
If you need one of these you need one of them. That doesn't mean you are going to feel the love. I do not. I haven't found one that love would describe. I find I remove them in my sleep in the mid of night without knowing it until morning when I wake up. Yeah that's not working well? I know. This one probably worked better than the other two boot systems. But some times my foot and toes fall asleep but it feels there's plenty of room around. Perhaps the wedge is causing this. But the wedge seems to help get the right position of the foot you really want. But if you are standing up it feels right laying down after some time the numbness sets in. The upper leg strap also slips and or digs in too if I try to tighten it too prevent it from slipping. Overall my guess is few of these fit all the people all the time that need them. It gets four stars though because out of all I have tried this one is the best so far. But I haven't improved with the PF yet. I broke down and went in for the cortesone shots yesterday...today the shots are hurting right along with the PF. OUCH! And the shots made it too hurtful to use the boot last night. I was warned by doctor that the shots sometimes causes their own pain and in some situations give no relief. But I'll give it time and just hope it kicks in and helps overall. So I would recommend this boot to someone who has a problem. I got it at a great discount price or might not have tried it having already invested too much in all the other products...another boot that has the hard plastic going up the front of the foot instead. Sort of backwards to this item. And an expensive sock that cost 4 times what this boot cost from doctors office but caused ingrown toe nails to flair up the very first night of use. So maybe I do feel some love for this boot after all. Didnt do that.

Very effective, but big and cumbersome.
I actually hate these, but they have been lifesavers and they work. If I don't wear them at night, my feet destroy me the next day. I've been using these in combination with insoles, anti-inflammatory meds, physical therapy and soon more shots, and so far, these seem to really be the one thing that consistently works. There is a very clear difference between when I wear them and when I don't. I have even started wearing them (not all the way strapped up) when I'm just sitting on the couch watching TV, to keep my tendon from tightening up.They work great, but I hate having to wear them. They are huge and clunky and feel like wearing ski boots to bed. The straps are not uncomfortable, they don't hurt or bother my feet or legs, but because they are so big and clunky, they are very uncomfortable to sleep in. It's hard to turn over or move in bed with them on, and it's hard to find a comfortable way to lay. They have torn up some of our sheets and are definitely not attractive. I wish there was some way to make them smaller and lighter. But even with all the things I hate about wearing them, they work great and save me a lot of pain. And they have held up well, I've had them for over a year and don't have any problems with them. So I gave them 4 stars for being so effective and making my feet feel so much better. I can put up with a lot when I can walk without wincing all day.

If you have plantar, you owe it to yourself to give these a try. I feel the calf stretch with these on.
While I hate to say "I love it" for something that is used to treat plantar, these things are way more than the price would suggest. These splints are amazingly sturdy and solid, for the price. I was hesitant to order them thinking they'd be junk for this price, but they remind me of what I saw at the health care store, for over $150 - yes, they look the same. These are completely adjustable, and come in different sizes. I wear and 11.5 shoe and the LARGE fits with room to spare. I got them on and adjusted and when my foot was up on the ottoman, I was feeling the calf stretch. And apparently the calf stretch is what helps with this condition. Please note that these are going to be too hard to wear to bed at night. My PT and foot doc says to just wear them for a few hours sitting on the couch, to get a stretch going on. This is because they know that these won't work well being in bed - they are big and hard (clunky). But for the condition, I'll try anything to get it to get better.I bought two, one for each foot, since both have issues. I found the left was easier to strap and adjust, because they snap on the right side. Putting this on the right foot proved to be challenging. I had to get help with the right one. Once on, I felt pretty claustrophobic, and I could not imagine wearing these to bed at night. They will take getting used to, I'm sure, but does give you a good calf stretch.

Good Value, works as it should
Product seems to be a good value. The boot itself is well made, it seems to be plenty durable enough for a night splint. I even take a few steps in it occasionally, but I try to limit that because it in not intended for that purpose, and I'm sure it will have adverse effects on the life of the product. The straps are plenty strong, I am not sure that the buckles themselves will hold up, so far so good, but they look to be lighter duty. The product is adjustable by inserting the wedge under the toes, and reversing it for the opposite direction. I choose to leave it out completely, keeping the foot at 90 degrees. I wear mens size 10.5 and the large boot was a good fit. The buckles are on the right side of the boot, I wear it on my left right now, so getting it on is not too bad, but if on the right foot, it will be harder to buckle. I wear it to treat a stubborn case of plantar fasciitis, and it is helping quite a bit. I have suffered for about 1 year, and been stretching, taking anti-inflammatory drugs, which haven't been making much difference. The first night sleeping with the boot, I felt much less pain in the morning, and it is steadily improving every day.

It only took about a month before one of the clips stopped releasing, Otherwise it did the job we wanted it to do, it was just awkward working around that clip.
