exactly what I was looking for
I was looking for a night splint that was small, adjustable, and didn't squish my toes. This is it, and you can't beat the price compared to the other $80 devices out there.I have suffered from Planter Fasciitis problems for years. Night splints really do work. Look at reviews for all the products out there and you will find problems with all of them. Some of the problems for this product:Leg band too small to go around leg - yes, the band at the top of your calf is pretty small. A piece of velcro should bridge the gapLeg band slips down - you are supposed to position it between your knee and calf muscle. It should be too tight to slip past the calf.Band cuts into leg - I could see that happening if your leg is bent. You should keep it straight, that way your achilles tendon is stretched as well (very important)Uncomfortable - Lets face it, it difficult to sleep with something constraining your foot. A gentle stretch is all you need all night. Be conservative and start slow.I could see someone's foot slipping out of the foot band if they move around alot in their sleep.I didn't use the day support as I can't stand pressure on the top of my foot. I HAVE to have arch supports in my shoe. Birkenstock inserts are my choice.

Just ok
These worked ok for my boyfriend. It lessened the pain that he was experiancing in the morning straight out of bed. However, the product was awkward to wear all night. It tends to slide on his leg or even fall completely off. This is only good for temporary relief.

Disappointed with this product
The day time support is completely useless. I have other products at home that are far superior to this particular "support". The night time strap is very uncomfortable. It caused pain in other parts of my foot where it strapped on and I was unable to keep it on for more than an hour.

These are a God send!
Wow! I read through all the reviews before I decided on these. I went with them because of the design and the cost. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for almost 3 years now. It comes and goes depending the shoes I wear. Basically if I wear the men's Sketchers Shape-ups I'm fine, but I can't be wearing those boats for the rest of my life! So my doctor said to use the splints. I wanted something that would lift the front of my foot when I lay down. It feels better when lift the front of my feet and pull my big toes up. I like that these pull up the front of my feet. I have bigger than average calves and had no issue with the strap around the calves. I was worried about that because most calf boots are very tight on me. They have to be worn a little tight around the calf, but I wear leggings or knit pants under the strap so it's OK. It's not the most comfortable around the calves, but it doesn't really bother me or cause me other problems. On a scale of 1 to 5 for being uncomfortable, I'd give it a 1. Not as bad as I've read on here. Just wear pajama bottoms and it's good. The daytime straps are too big for me. My feet aren't narrow. They are average width, but still I cannot get the day straps tight enough. I considered the day ones a bonus anyways. I would still buy these again for the price. Still a good value and still very helpful for me.

Didn't work for me
I have been in a lot of pain with planter fasciitis for a couple of months. I tried one of the boot splints but was not able to wear it all night due to discomfort, so I thought I'd give this a try. At first it looked like it might work but it kept slipping down on my leg. I tried both a looser and a tighter fit on the leg band. Also, it caused some discomfort to my foot. When I got up in the mornings, my pain was still there. I ended up going to a podiatrist and getting a soft boot splint that is more comfortable.

Great product
I don’t understand the bad reviews for this night splint. Maybe I just got lucky and got a really good set? I ordered this in 2010 and used it on and off (my plantar fasciitis comes and goes) for a good 8 years until the Velcro just wouldn’t stick anymore. I recently bought a more expensive one with better reviews and has the hard plastic brace on it thinking it would work better but after a month, I feel like it’s making my condition worse. I actually had to dig through all my old amazon online orders to find this product again and I’m so glad it’s still in stock. Will be re ordering this a second time because this always works wonders for me after a few days of use!

works, but a bit uncomfortable
I've only been using this a couple of nights, but it has really done the trick. Maybe I'll get used to the feel of it, but I'm kind of doubting it. I have a large calf, so the calf strap barely fits and is probably quite a bit more snug than it has to be. It also lodges right up into the crook of my knee and feels like it's cutting in to me a bit. Not the greatest feeling to wake up with. But the fact that my foot felt fantastic pretty much made it worth it.Additional information: I've actually found a work-around for the tight calf strap. I went to a local sewing shop and bought a strip of velcro the same width as the one used for the calf strap on this product. Once I added a few inches, the problem was more or less resolved.

Disappointed, will be spending more on another device
I recently was diagnosed with a heel spur/plantar fascitis and, while this is a good concept ..this is not the greatest product. After securing everything in place, which took about 15 minutes to adjust to get a good stretch, the only way I could maintain that stretch was to tighten the top velcro near the knee very hard to keep it in place. After a while that causes some pain in the knee and calf area while cutting off circulation. When I removed it I had a deep impression where the device was. I also had to manipulate the toe/heel pad area to fit properly but that is still a concern because my two little toes are uncomfortable as well in it. I could not sleep with this on either for the aforementioned reasons. I am using it even though it is not great, it is better than nothing and helps me maintain a stretch for 10 -15 minutes at a time while I am sitting down working at the computer.
