Q: How wide is the static bracket? My support beam is a double 2 x 10.

The bracket was designed for doubled up 2by lumber. The holes are 1.5" apart so that the screws are centered in the boards. We recommend 3/8x4 GRK Rugged Structural Screws for installation.
