I love this book. I never gave thought to the specifications that were needed to create garments but since I began taking fashion courses along with costumes for different things that I go to, this book has helped me see a different light. The technical side is so informative and knowing where to start for help on sizes is like wow. I'm glad that I was looking on Amazon for something else and this book appeared and I noticed, read upon it and knew I had to get it. One of the better investments I've made as a small business owner doing freelance technical design work in the apparel industry. it isn't that this book necessarily has new information for me, but its a great reference when I'm doing spec work on a garment that I haven't done in a while. Its like that checks and balance system to help me ensure that I'm doing the very best job for my clients and haven't overlooked anything. Well organized material, clear format and illustrations.

i am an apparel design major and i bought this book for the information on how to properly create a specification manual. it was a great purchase and came in great time. it helps with understanding both the detail of laying out a proper spec manual and how to design a proper technical flat.

Sent to a granddaughter who is beginning to work on fashion design. I used it as a student at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) while at school. Has croquois for infants through adult both male and female for using to draw your designs.

Pretty expansive and I'm wondering if I can find these resources somewhere else. Comes with a cd with all your needs not sure where the price hike came from. Confused. The only useful thing I been having a hard time finding that available here is a grading system to follow but then again theres no instruction, just the measurements. Hmmmm, once again. Not worth the price.
