Like the label said, it's 'sweet and salty' but just couldn't pin point exactly what the flavor is. It's something I've never had before, an interesting combination of Cardamom, Black Pepper, Nutmeg, Ginger, Cloves, Cinnamon, Sea Salt, Cane Sugar, Honey, Vanilla Bean, Vanilla Bean Extract, Maple, Butter and so on. I neither like it nor dislike it. But I'm interested in trying different seasoning and spices from 'Gustus Vitae' though.

We'd tried a few Everything But The cooking spices before this, except those were actual cooking spices (the Salt and Vinegar "Fish and Chips" one is really good) and this being a popcorn seasoning we were eager to try it.We eat a LOT of popcorn in this household because it's a relatively healthy snack (depending on the toppings used) and because we're a home of movie lovers, so popcorn is being made almost daily.Like most people, we typically stick with the traditional salt and butter or light cheese seasoning varieties, but we DO like the occasional kettle corn.That's what we thought we were getting with this little can, was a basic customized kettle corn topping - but no.It's so much more than just kettle corn.The initial testing of this genuinely confused our popcorn-loving tastebuds. It's all over the map. Salt. Sugar. Cinnamon. Vanilla. Caramel. CheeseThis topping basically recreates the flavor you get when you buy one of those huge popcorn tins that has the three different popcorn flavors divided into three sections (salt & butter, cheese, and caramel) and then opt to get a little crazy and eat one piece from each flavor section...at the same time.Like a crazy person.But it works. Sweet, salty, and savory all in one bite.Not only that, but depending on how you cook your popcorn, this seasoning can work just about with any method. Whether you're using the stovetop method with some butter/popping oil or a dry air popper or a silicone microwave popcorn, you can use this powdered mix and either add it directly to the oil to ensure an generally even distribution or use it with a buttery topping in a spritzer bottle and then shake the container to help evenly distribute this across all the pieces.Either way you do it, it doesn't take much to coat a 3-4 bowl batch of popcorn with the flavor.***Overall Value***We were initially on the fence about this flavor, but after multiple batches of popcorn we're absolutely onboard. That said, I'd love to have the option to buy it in a bigger allotment for a more economical purchase than $8.50 (at the time of review) for a little tin canister of the stuff. Granted, as is this supply will make about 7-8 batches of popcorn with each batch having 3-4 bowls of popcorn, but for folks who eat a lot of popcorn it'd be nice to have a bigger supply option. However, for us, this isn't a multiple nights in a row flavor. I'd still rank a cheese or salt and butter option ahead of this one, but we'll definitely be adding this to the rotation for the foreseeable future.

i saw sweet and salty and immediately thought of kettle corn. this however is not a traditional kettle corn. it actually reminds me of some sort of ham glaze. there's a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon with some other sweet notes. i myself don't really like this on popcorn as much as the other flavors i've tried. the spices were fresh due to them being bagged inside the metal shaker container. the container is actually pretty nice and has both a large opening for adding a lot and the shaker part with numerous smaller holes. there's also a magnet on the bottom of the bottle for easier storing.

I am an avid homemade popcorn fan. I was expecting more of a kettle flavor but it has other verities too which is quite interesting. It has sweet and savory taste which I would 100% recommend to try for any popcorn enthusiast.I have it 4 star because I am hooked now to the flavor but these is quite an expensive item at $8.00.

The packaging never explicitly said kettle corn, but when I think of sweet and salty popcorn seasoning my mind will immediately think kettle corn. Now although this doesn't necessarily taste like traditional kettle corn, that doesn't mean it's not as delicious. It kinda tastes more like a holiday blend? Notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and kinda reminds me of the holidays? Not my favorite, but definitely could be for others!

This Everything But The Sweet & Salty Popcorn Seasoning is very unique with a sweet base with hints of cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, etc. The ingredients come in a unique metal tin can that has a magnetic base. The ingredients are all natural and non-GMO. Overall, it is a unique blend that has bursts of flavor to it. I see this as a love it/hate it type of seasoning given the blend.

So fun to use this seasoning for popcorn. It is most definitely on the sweeter side than it is salty. It's hard to describe as there are a lot of different hints of flavors in there but I do like it and I think it makes your popcorn more interesting than the typical butter salt flavors. I am a big fan of sweet popcorns though. Not to mention the tin is uniquely designed to be magnetic at the bottom so you can stick it right on your fridge which is cool.
