Purchased this to mount a HB Helix 10. Works great. Originally purchased a JR-208, but returned it because the release lever was too difficult to work. This style is much easier.

Excellent mount.I used mine in a semi-portable mount for my Simrad GO7-XSE, so I can move it from boat to boat, and so I can remove it for outdoor urban storage. The base fit fairly well for the Simrad, although I did have to drill new holes.I really like that you can rotate the mount with one hand. That is going to be very convenient.I wish that Amazon sold the JohnnyRay spacer, as I had to make my own out of Starboard. I also wish that JohnnyRay would offer a blank, oversized base with no holes in it.

Convertible style fishing boat-Always have to go up to flybridge to see what bottom looked like when stopped to drop a line. I used this, upside down to mount a Simrad. So far, very happy, and the fact you can easily swivel it makes it even better.

Get it!
This is just as good as a RAM mount. You may have to drill your mounting holes but who cares. That only takes a second and the thing works great! It swivels and releases to take your electronics off for safe keeping.
