Includes thermal pad, pin to mount drive in different positions, screwdriver for case, USB C to C cable, USB 3 to USB C cable, instructions. Data transfer rates depend on device port capabilities (up to 20Gbps with a usb3.2 gen 2x2 port).Why I like it: This is a great way to reliably back up and store data via usb and usb c ports on your computer. With an ambient temperature of 74°F, this enclosure maintained an SSD temp of 107°F (with a thermal pad installed). It is vented (vs other finned enclosed designs); therefore, dust and debris can get inside. The tool less pin makes it easy to install the SSD onto the chassis. I like that they’ve included both USB C to C and USB 3 to C cables for versatile connectivity. The machined aluminum housing looks great and is very durable, and the blue power/activity LED is easy to see. Speed specs will depend on the device port capabilities, the installed SSD capabilities—it is comparable on my systems using USB 3, Thunderbolt, and USB C ports of different gens. Overall, a very durable enclosure that performs as designed.

I got this for the harddrive that I replaced and had nothing else to do with it. Now I've got a decently fast usbc SSD drive. Very handy!

This SSD enclosure is great for making your own portable storage solution. The case is made from solid machined aluminum so it will dissipate heat from the drive, along with the help of the included thermal strip that presses between the drive and the lid. The drive is held down by a screwless mechanism, but the case itself has a screw on the outside. The enclosure is restricted to USB speeds so don't expect full NVMe performance, but it is more than enough for portable performance.
