Brilliant phone and dual-sim
For me, dual sim is vital and I hate Android so three years ago I bought a Lumia 635 via the German version of the Microsoft Store (why on earth they couldn't sell dual sim directly in the UK is beyond me). Happy with it in general, but after three years decided it was time for an upgrade - in particular for better camera functionality.Shocked to find that Microsoft seem to be withdrawing these phones and couldn't even buy a single sim version direct never mind the dual sim.So ended up here on Amazon with a third-party German supplier.Transaction went swimmingly and the phone arrived within 4 working days. And I'm very pleased with it indeed.Slightly larger in size than the 635, so I had been a bit concerned that it could be too big for my hand, but it works fine for me and the extra area/better quality screen gives much more visibility. All the main items I use are much better on this phone than the 635 - messages, email, calendar, browsing - and the two cameras knock socks off the old single one.The only tiny thing I'm missing is the ability to mute the phone ringing by simply turning the phone face down - I found that very useful, not sure why Microsoft thought it wouldn't be needed in the bigger phone. All in all, a very happy punter - for now, not sure how I will feel in a few years time when I need a new one if these have completely disappeared from the market. :(

Great phone, not so great battery life
Great phone in all facets and beautiful to behold. I like great cameras and the few photos I have taken so far testify the dual sim Microsoft Lumia 950 is leagues ahead. The battery is the let down and it is a big let down. I've just had it for a week and in most days I have to charge it twice just to read my mails and texts with hardly any calls, downloads, games, music or videos. I've gone on to read all the tips about prolonging battery life in a windows 10 phone and applied them to no avail. It's a shame!

Lumia 950
Lovely bit of kit - now working well on Windows 10 - only negative is the double tap is rubbish - but hey - the side switch is right there anyway. Battery usage needs to be improved - have to research adjustments on google. Great having the power, speed AND memory capacity. Obviously a big step up from the Lumia 640. Only working on one sim card currently as Vodafone are rubbish at issuing the Nano sim card - 2 weeks and waiting.

A good phone but if you have a 930 stick with it
Firstly I am a life long Nokia and now windows phone user. I have tried other platforms but did not like them. The Lumia 950 is another good phone, and works well. BUT... I previously had a Lumia 930 and decided to upgrade after dropping it a few times (still worked by the way). Essentially my three stars are because the move to the 950 cannot be described as an upgrade. The 930 worked very well had stable software and did virtually everything I wanted as a business user. The 950 does little more if anything and seems unfinished. As usual the software designers have moved everything around just for the hell of it and as a consequence it has taken me about two weeks to get the phone to a similar setup as the previous phone. The ONLY plus point for the 950 (in my opinion) is the fact that you can simply copy files too and from it like another hard drive. As yet the notifications that used to appear on my 930 screen for emails do not exist and despite updating to the latest software and changing just about every relevant user setting, I cannot get them to appear. If later updates manage to resolve this issue then I would give it a four star. Finally for me the phone is just that little bit too big and crosses the line from being just right to where it becomes unbalanced and unwieldy when using it in one hand, especially as those wonderful software guys have put a lot of the entry fields you need to touch at the top of the screen, just on the limit or out of reach of my thumb. In summary, if you have a 930 I would not upgrade and if you have an older phone you should seriously consider the 930 before the 950.

Update the software
This unit replaced a poorly charging disappointing Windows 8.1 phone. Now have an improved battery (replaceable), and dual sim (useful as I live in area of poor reception) with 100+ MB storage card. Software unreliable (poor connection to Microsoft band 2) 'till I updated to latest firmware. Now much improved with excellent maps, calendar etc but battery life remains an issue. I invested in a new cover and now use wireless charging. Surprisingly easy and reliable. Recommended.

why don't they still make phones like this?
I bought this as replacement for my now terminally sick 4 year old previous Lumia 950. This one has dual (nano) sim capability and although I haven't required that facility it is good to have available. The phone works well, booting promptly and accessing the services I use regularly without any problem. It links to my PC and to my windows account without problem, giving me a truly good mobile communicator AND a miniPC.Hopefully it will be several years before I next have to consider its replacment - what on earth can work as well?

Beautiful in black
I bought this after buying the Lumia 950XL and getting a defective phone - and then three defective replacements!I decided to get this because it is from Europe and, I thought, perhaps the UK batch was full of defective units. My instinct so far has proven accurate. This is a great phone and very effective as a daily driver. Unlike the 950XL with it's problematic Snapdragon 810 chip, this has the near-equal performance, but much more reliable, Snapdragon 808.All in all happy with this purchase!
