Our old pressure gauge stopped displaying the PSI so I picked up this 0-100 Psi Pressure Gauge, Glycerin Filled, Water Pressure Gauge, 2-1/2" Dial to replace it. We have been using it for a few months now without any issues. It displays the pressure nicely and is easy to read. Even in the hot Florida sun it continues to perform perfectly. The display is clean and appears fairly accurate. Installation was easy and fit without any modifications. I used thread tape and goop as an extra sealing measure. Our piping is standard PVC. Overall, very happy with this pressure gauge and would get again.

The pool pumps pressure gauges I have used in the past have not lasted long enough due to scale forming in the gauges and tubes connecting them to the pump to the point where the gauge stopped working. I was hoping this glycerin-filled gauge is constructed of materials less prone to this build up. It's a little early to tell if that's the case, but in the 2 months I've been using it, there have been no problems. It has a higher quality feel that other gauges I've used. The glycerin makes the needle move smoothly compared to the slight jerkiness of a regular gauge. The only disadvantage of this gauge versus a traditional pool gauge is that this one lacks the graduated sliding ring around that face that shows you water pressure increases so you know when it's time to backwash the filter. However, that was not an advertised feature of this gauge so I'm not deducting any stars for that.

The old gauge on my above-ground pool pump no longer works. It was registering about 100 PSI no matter whether the pump was running or not. I know that the operating pressure for the pump should be about less than 20 pounds. I ordered this gauge as a replacement and am very pleased with the choice.The display on the gauge is about 1/2 inch larger than the old display and the pressure range is more appropriate for the operating range of the pump. The operating temperature range of this gauge is supposed to go up to 71 degrees C, which is about 158 degrees F. Since summertime temperatures here sometimes approach 120 F, this should be a good gauge for our climate.I put Teflon tape on the threads and turned off the pump to install the gauge. The old gauge screwed out by hand and the new gauge screwed in the same. The whole process took about a minute. I installed this gauge with the dial facing away from the sun, which should help with prolonging the legibility of the display. The gauge appears to work great.Because the gauge is filled with glycerin there is a bubble visible at the top of the gauge. I looked it up and found that this is normal by design and contributes to the accuracy and longevity of the gauge.I am very pleased with this gauge and highly recommend it. If there is an issue in the future, I will update this review, but so far so good!

I was pleasantly surprised when I got this. The gauge seems to be well made and of high quality and not some lightweight piece of junk. It has some heft to it. Clear dial with easy to read numbers is really helpful at reading from a distance.
