I originally bought the item with intent to make a spear, for that purpose it has worked out fine.

Arrived much sooner than promised. Next to the old, heavily used, slightly corroded Javelins at the track this is an altogether sleeker, sexier, more modern example, with excellent balance and a high standard of construction. My son is delighted with it.
