This book was a lifesaver after my daughter was diagnosed with autism. Between diagnosis and accessing services (OT, speech) there was a substantial waiting time and this book really helped me understand what was ahead & how I could help.

Este libro es directo, pero debes leerlo no al comienzo, sino ya para reforzar lo que vas aprendiendo en el camino, debes inicio solo vas a llorar y abrumarte, después lo entiendes mejor

De uma maneira muito natural e estruturada as autoras ensinam a identificar rotinas como oportunidades de aprendizagem, obter a atenção da criança, organizar as brincadeiras e jogos afim de desenvolver imitação, linguagem gestual, substituição de comportamentos indesejados, linguagem verbal, atenção compartilhada e jogo simbólico.A estrutura básica é: porque isso é importante > o que acontece no autismo> por que é um problema? >O que você pode fazer para corrigir>atividades> lista se está a fazer tudo corretamente.

This is an amazing book , and I highly recommend it for parents with children on the spectrum . I have to admit it works very well with those on the younger age and It's very informative .All the skills that the child must acquire before developing speech are explained in this book. It takes you step by step on how to get the best out of your child . While reading this book I felt that I had a plan for my child. I could see him improving and learning new skills by practicing with him the suggested techniques which is carried through daily activity , so I don't feel that I am obliged to sit my son and do a daily exercise . This book is fantastic it helped me a lot and I do highly recommend it.
