It was extremely easy to unfold and just as easy to fold back ...
Update: I stupidly sold this when I wanted to clear up space and make some money, as I owned two umbrellas and the other one was "fancier". This is the EASIEST to push umbrella stroller that is light and so slickly designed I do regret it. If I were to only own a single umbrella stroller, this would be the one. Not worth the money for the Uppababy unless you're deadest on the extendable bonnet and kickstand for standing. Nothing pushes like the Inglesina over city streets with a heavy kiddo inside.Update: I really enjoy this stroller and am glad I bought it every time I use it for a day out when we need something light. The one handed fold is now very easy after practicing. I have done it barefoot and in Flipflops and TEVAs and heels. Used it for a day with both lots of walking and bus transfers, as well as nap time. I was able to hold my toddler in one arm and gold the stroller, then carry it by the handle on and off the bus and unfold it again to place my toddler back inside. Plus it looks good. It's way prettier than most of the umbrella strollers I've ever walked by.Firstly: the stroller arrived in a long thin box that said 'Inglesina Trip' on it. There was no further packaging on the inside, apart from a small box meant to take up space, and the stroller was fully assembled, the rain cover stashed in the basket. It was extremely easy to unfold and just as easy to fold back up - I especially like that the locking mechanism clicks itself into place, so it truly is a one-handed fold. Perfect for the airport. We live in a NYC apartment and have no car, so my strollers have to meet some very specific needs. Was in the market for a sturdy reclining umbrella stroller for all day use, that could then be folded and stored under a Convaid wheelchair because I work as a care attendant and carry the baby on my back while pushing the chair. I was a bit nervous about the reviews that called the stroller 'bulky' but was pleasantly surprised - it fits and folds up compact enough to be stored next to the laundry cart, without making our back hallway look too cluttered, and can in fact be stashed under the wheelchair while I push it. We previously owned a Maclaren Quest that was on its last leg after someone gave it to us for free, so I will draw some comparisons between the two.Things I love about it:I am used to the smoothness of my Emmaljunga or air-filled fixed-wheel pram wheels and was nervous that an umbrella stroller would lack the suspension and wheel size of the strollers I love going out with all day. We live in an area with a lot of hills, uneven sidewalks, deep cracks, potholes and a few cobbled streets. The Inglesina Trip has handled all of these without my needing to pop the stroller onto the back wheels (I test drove specifically, to find out), which is what I used to have to do with a very cheap umbrella stroller we had. The large wheels make for an easy ride, and the stroller is very smooth to push. The handles are finally high enough for my 6'4" boyfriend to push the stroller with ease! Previously, we had to bring a bigger stroller out or I had to push all the time. He really had to stoop to reach the Maclaren handles. I am 5'. We can both push this stroller comfortably and without having to adjust our posture. The fabric on the seat and hood has already stood up well to spilled milk, Cheerio dust and dirty shoes. Wipes off easily. The rain cover was easy to put onto the stroller and easy to take off and store. The built-in pocket in the hood has enough space for my wallet, keys, an 8oz Comotomo bottle, an iPhone 6 in a bulky case and a pacifier. This is incredibly useful, and it is easy for me to slip my hands into the opening without feeling like it's sitting under a neon sign flashing 'Thieves - help yourselves'The peek-in window comes in handy on the subway, or when baby is eating, or to stealth watch and make sure I can catch the snack cup before it becomes a projectile. The stroller is light enough for me to carry it up two flights of stairs with my 22lbs 13 month old tucked inside. I am not incredibly strong and am very short. The recline is very deep and the seat itself lends itself nicely to napping. We took a walk the day it arrived, and my daughter fell asleep instantly. The attached brakes! I hate separate brakes. These brakes are easy to engage and to unlock, and feel sturdy. The seat itself seems comfortably padded. The adjustable leg bar is great for naps. Our Maclaren lacked one of those, and I missed it a lot especially when my daughter was younger. The buckle is easy to unlock. My daughter loves playing with the lap bar.It is very difficult to tip it backwards and feels safe.Roomy seat with plenty of space for my daughter to grow.Colour scheme very cute and neutral.Things that are just okay:The basket is small and basically impossible to reach when the seat is fully reclined, which is par for the course with an umbrella stroller, but still gets in the way. There is no shoulder strap for carrying the folded stroller, unlike with the Maclaren. In total, I was looking for a utility stroller and ended up being sent one that I thoroughly enjoy taking out for the day on its own merit. For whatever reason, we did not receive the cup holder with the stroller, which is a bummer. I was actually looking forward to that feature in particular. Despite the size, this is a light, well-thought-out umbrella stroller that would make for a perfect primary or secondary stroller, depending on your needs, and is a fraction of the price of a Maclaren Techno. If you are looking for a truly compact reclining umbrella stroller, I would still recommend a Maclaren Quest over the Inglesina Trip. There is a significant size difference. However, if you want a stroller with an umbrella-folding feature that offers much of the roominess of a larger stroller, the Inglesina Trip is a perfectly comfortable, sturdy and stylish price stop in between the Summer Infant 3D Lite and the Maclaren Techno or Uppababy G-Luxe. And what really sets it apart from all the others is its style. It's the only umbrella stroller on the market that I know of that truly qualifies as a beautiful stroller. The Italians clearly know that they're doing. After a long day of wiping up spilled milk, pulling Cheerios out of my hair and leaves out of my daughter's mouth, it's refreshing to be able to walk around feeling like we look Nice. Stylish. I've only been using it a few days, so I will update as we go along, but so far this one is a winner for me.

Really good and recommendable but not 100% perfect
We've search & read many reviews about which may be the best option for a umbrella stroller to use it as our second & most portable stroller. We haven't heard of the Inglesina brand before but read many good reviews about it and specially about this model, therefore we decided to buy it. The stroller has many features basic for us: it have to be really portable, the backrest should be reclinable into different hights, it should fit into our elevator when armed. Some other things that we like about it is that it already includes the cup holder & the rain protector, and also that the upper part can be put into different positions which can cover & protect the baby's face from the sun when sleeping. The 5 position safety harness is well designed and really easy to use. Some things that we didn't like is that the wheels squeak when you push the stroller. That sound is a bit annoying but you get used to. Also some of the materials doesn't seem to be top quality. We haven't heard of anyone reporting that some parts break, but there are some parts that doesn't look so strong, for example the place where the hood attaches to the stroller body and also the storage basket. Time time will tell if they break or not. I wouldn't mind having payed a bit more but getting better materials. Finally something true is that the stroller handles seem to be designed for taller people. I'm 6.0 and my wife about 5.6 therefore we're not short and this is not a problem for us but for smaller people it might be uncomfortable to use.

1.5 years and it's done
I bought this stroller in the summer of 2014 for a vacation to Hawaii with our 1 year old. It is now winter, 2016 and after a year and a half, this stroller is barely holding on. Most of my issues happened soon after purchase.Pros: lightweight; easy to open and close with one hand; fits in any trunk; great for travel; seat fully reclines; easy to maneuver; great storage; does not easily tip (unless of course you have tons of weight hanging off the handle bars and take your child out); love the optional parasolCons: When folded, the wheels touch the fabric of the canopy. Dirty wheels (just from normal indoor outings) = very dirty canopy. The red stroller canopy is now totally marked up with black streaks and stains just from the wheels touching it; the canopy "clicks" into the frame and it always pops off the right side - we are constantly sliding it back down and trying to lock it in place only to have it pop off again and again and again; the bottom of the frame where you fold and set the brake has a small screw and plastic piece which has fallen off more than once - luckily we were able to see the screw on the ground and put it back together but this should not be happening on this price point of a stroller; the cup holder completely broke apart on the first trip out of the house; the foam handlebar and foam shoulder straps are terribly poor and cheap material; the plastic clip to lock your child's harness is also very poor and cheap material and it actually hurts my hands to unlock the clips; the clear plastic in the canopy is worthless - I don't need to see the back of my child's head and it just let's the sun shine straight in - it either needs a flap of material to cover it or shouldn't be there at allOverall, I do NOT recommend this cheaply made stroller and so wish I had bought a different brand instead. Now that I am in the market for a double umbrella stroller or a new single umbrella stroller to replace this garbage, I will NOT be looking at anything Inglesina offers.
