VTT OBD-Lock ODB Port Locking Tool (GM Models ONLY) Version 2

Checked Camaro & Corvette forums for recommendations. VTT had the majority & it's a USA company so I went with them. Arrived quickly, is very solid & is super easy to install. Based on reviews, expected it might be tighter (harder to get on/off) around the OBD port, but still very secure. Now we can worry less leaving the top down when parked in public.

I have a 2021 Sierra 2500HD AT4. I’ve been seeing how quickly many vehicles have been getting stolen all from the OBD2 port and a tablet. I mean like in 5 minutes or less your ride is gone. That being said, $100 for this is a tough pill to swallow. However some peace of mind is worth it! I’d rather not deal with insurance on a trashed stolen truck worth 100K and get a check for “current market value” from insurance. This port lock is really well made. Great quality and machined wonderfully. I don’t know about version 1 of this product but version 2 is really made of nice pieces and a truly snug fit. I’d imagine if someone wants to steal something badly enough they’ll find a way. This however should slow them down for sure. They’re not going to be carrying the bits they need to get this off that for sure. If they want to mangle OBD2 in the process, they can have fun. Truly a well thought out product and a nice piece. Beats all the plastic ones I’d been seeing no doubt about that. Well done, VTT!!

Was easy to install once I watched the video. It seems to be a good product, I like the red visibility. Seems well made and does the job better than the plastic ones.

Keeps an unauthorized person from accessing your ODB port and potentially stealing your vehicle.

Locks firmly in place in my 2020 Silverado. Seems like it will do the job as designed.

Key does not easily align with screw. Notice key teeth rounding. DO NOT OVER TEIGHT. need more than 2 say 3.

A little pricey but gets the job done.

This OBD lock is fantastic, built very well and worth every penny. I love the reviews where people complain about "price" LOL. $80.00 to protect a car that costs much more, in my case 150k jut saying. If you care about your C8 Corvettes and model especially the ZO6 that has been known to be easily stollen by accessing the OBD port, then ay the silly $79.00 and get one. You will not regret it.

Very tricky to install, but goes on well and would be difficult to remove without the tool!

Pretty expensive for what you get. But it is well made and fits securely over the OBD port. Is a good deterrent.

Good quality product, my version of the Holden Commodore are frequently being stolen, so any deterrent is helpful, easy to install

My Commodore is currently the most stolen car in Australia and, so far, I still have mine so I guess it works

I bought and installed one of these OBDII Locks about 5 weeks ago. In the last few days someone tried to steal my car from Melbourne Airport under cover parking. They spent quite some time trying to get past the lock, going by the amount of damage to it. But they were unsuccessful! When I bought it, I thought the lock was way over priced for what it is, but it has paid for itself.
