ThermoScan 7+ connect Ear thermometer | Age Precision Technology

We’ve been extremely impressed with the Braun ThermoScan 7+ Connect thermometer and have already used it countless times on both myself and my premature baby. The readings have consistently seemed accurate and reassuringly in line with the thermometers used in hospital, which gave us a lot of confidence when bringing our baby home. I was actually surprised that the probe fit comfortably in my tiny premature baby’s ear, but it works brilliantly even on such a small baby. One of the standout features for me is the age-adjustable settings, as temperatures can mean different things at different ages. The colour-coded display is also excellent — when it goes red and gives a clear alert for a high temperature, there’s absolutely no second-guessing. In fact, it alerted us to temperatures serious enough that both my baby and I ended up needing emergency treatment, so this genuinely feels like one of those products that could make a real difference when it matters most. Another feature I really appreciate as a parent is the silent mode. If you press the button with the moon and stars on it, it switches the thermometer onto silent so it doesn’t beep loudly and risk waking the baby during night-time temperature checks. Such a simple idea but genuinely very useful. I also really like that it stores the last temperature reading in the top right-hand corner of the screen, so you can compare readings at a glance without trying to remember the previous number — especially helpful when you’re stressed, sleep deprived, or monitoring a fever closely. Build quality feels very solid and premium, it’s simple and quick to use even when tired and stressed, and the disposable plastic covers that go over the tip that sits in the ear make it really easy to keep hygienic between uses. It also comes with a neat little stand which keeps everything together nicely instead of the thermometer getting lost in a drawer. I’ll also be honest and say I actually haven’t used the app features yet. My tech-obsessed partner specifically wanted this model because of the app connectivity, whereas I tend to prefer simple products that just work. I haven’t even had time to set the app up, but the thermometer functions perfectly well without it, which I actually think is a big positive. It means it will probably suit both tech-savvy users and people who just want something quick, reliable, and straightforward. The only slight downside is that the batteries don’t seem to last particularly long, and it isn’t rechargeable so you’ll want spare AA batteries in the house. That said, it definitely hasn’t put me off and I still think it’s well worth the money for the reassurance and ease of use alone. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this to parents, especially those with young or vulnerable babies.

I absolutely love the Bluetooth connection to the app on this model. Being able to automatically sync and monitor temperatures over time—instead of trying to remember them or scribbling them down on a scrap of paper in the middle of the night—is a total game-changer.The thermometer itself is excellent and incredibly accurate. The color-coded screen immediately tells you if a fever is a concern based on age, and the night mode is a brilliant touch. It turns on a subtle light and completely mutes the beeps so you don't disturb a sleeping child. It is definitely on the pricier side, and you do have to keep buying the disposable lens filters, but for the sheer peace of mind and the historical tracking on your phone, it is worth every penny.

This is brilliant! Great material quality. Quite stiff to pull out the case, was worried I was doing it wrong and that there’s some buttons to press but no, you just pull it out from the end of the thermometer and then push it back in afterwards. Not sure how it gets power yet as it turned on straight away (possibly batteries somewhere) Came with extra ear caps for hygiene. Connects to an app which is very informative about fevers, other symptoms you have, medication, medical appointments and gives you advice about if you should call a doctor, it also stores multiple temperatures for different members of the family. Prior to this I was just using a cheap no touch thermometer but I wanted something more for core temperature and this definitely does the job. I know it’s quite expensive but it really is worth the money to have that peace of mind and to possibly save a trip to the doctor or a&e. As it comes in a case, it is an open case so just be careful of where you store it but it is easy to get a harder more solid case so you can take it on the go.

I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase. I bought the Braun ThermoScan brand new, and even added insurance just in case anything went wrong, only to receive a used item. The device arrived with visible scratches on the cover that become obvious under proper lighting (as shown in the photos I attached). For something this expensive, I expected a completely new, untouched product. It’s unacceptable to pay full price and be sent something that’s clearly been handled before. If I could give zero stars, I would. Unbelievable.

I’ve been extremely unwell with a kidney infection, and just when I needed it most, my old Braun ThermoScan 7 (which had worked well for years) stopped working. I live in a care home where the nurses didn’t want to use theirs because of my infections, so I urgently needed my own thermometer. I saw an offer on the newer model on Boots.com, but it went out of stock online and was only available for in-store pickup — I’m paralysed and couldn’t get anyone to go for me. I messaged Amazon support, and they kindly price-matched the difference so I could order straight away and receive it the same day. They literally saved my life — I’m so grateful! As for the thermometer itself: the app is very easy to use, even with my mouthstick stylus, and is laid out very simply. It syncs results automatically whenever the thermometer is switched on. It feels much more accurate than the previous model, and the light-up feature helps my nurses guide it into my ear properly. Setting up the account was simple even while I was confused from high temperatures, and I love that it remembers my settings (adult mode). I also love the new blue color. I can’t comment on battery life yet but ill update. I’m even planning to link my care home and doctor to my profile. It’s been invaluable for tracking my fevers, especially when the care home staff forget to update their system. I can’t recommend this thermometer enough — and Amazon’s support really went above and beyond for me! Beyond grateful 🙏

This is a great thermometer which is quick and easy to use — you literally just put on a probe cover, pop it in the ear and get a reading within seconds, which is ideal, especially if you’re dealing with kids or just want something simple and straightforward. The display is nice and clear (as you can see in the photos), and I really like the different colour modes depending on the temperature recorded. The pairing with the app was also straightforward, which was a big plus for me. I’ve had a slightly older Braun model before that just refused to go into pairing mode, so it’s great that this one connects easily to my iPhone and actually works as intended. It also comes with a plastic storage case that it sits in, which keeps everything together. It is also handy that spare probe covers are included too. The only downside — and the reason I’ve knocked off a star — is that the included batteries were already low (the battery warning started flashing the first time I turned the unit on) which is disappointing for a brand new product. Overall though, it’s reliable, quick, and easy to use, with the added bonus of good quality app connectivity.

Disadvantage:I had to take out the battery a few times to restart it because it didn't respond to the power button. The app only takes/stores the measured data when it's activated. So the app has to run at night too. You have to measure several times to make sure you get the exact result, but that might be because of my inexperience. I think it's a bit expensive Advantage:Anyway, it's a great life-saving device. I would buy it again. .big help with a little babies and with busy toddler. Easy to use at night and day time.

One of the best thermometers I’ve owned. It’s very accurate and you get what you pay for with this. Comes with a nice little stand and easy to use. Very quick to give you your reading. Changed colours when it gives you the temperature. Great for all the family.

Quando metti in funzione il termometro Braun Thermoscan 7+ hai subito l'impressione di trovarti davanti ad un prodotto ben progettato. Display e tasti funzione chiari e intuitivi, quasi che potresti farlo funzionare senza leggere il manuale. Anche l'app dedicata, Braun Family Care, è molto ben fatta, intuitiva e funzionale: abbinamento bluetooth con lo smartphone facile facile come la creazione dei profili di tutta la famiglia. La misura è velocissima e questo aspetto rende lo strumento molto efficace. Se si vogliono misure precise ed accurate occorre prestare attenzione a due aspetti:1) utilizzare sempre un cap nuovo per ogni misura; 2) imparare ad inserire correttamente la sonda nell'orecchio puntando il timpano. Una confezione da 40 cap costa mediamente 5 euro, quindi è un costo sostenibile. Lo strumento, giustamente, non funziona senza cap, per evitare di sporcare il sensore e pregiudicare la precisione e affidabilità delle misure. Molto pratica la funzione notte che attiva una luce color ambra che non disturba e disattiva gli avvisi acustici. In questo modo si può misurare la febbre ad un bambino riducendo il rischio di svegliarlo. Pro: facile, veloce, efficace, preciso, affidabile. Contro: richiede accortezze come la sostituzione del cap ad ogni misura e lo sviluppo di una certa manualità per essere preciso e affidabile.

I've owned Braun thermometers for a long time now and this new one is a great upgrade to my current one! The App is very easy to use. At first, I had some issues in connecting the thermometer to the app but the next day the App was working perfectly. I could create different profiles for me and my kids and once you take the temperature, it goes automatically on the app and you can assign it to the different family members. No more pen and paper to write down how the temperature evolves during flu times (super helpful for parents!). I could easily show the evolution to my doctor it so he could provide me the best advices. The thermometer is accurate as all Braun products - definitely recommending it!
