This is the toy that you use for Godzilla
I may have purchased this toy about six months or so too early. I got it for my then three year old son. I was impressed with its roar and marching. He was terrified! But after several uses by me while he was on the other side of the room and then playing comically with it he warmed up to it enough to cradle it. As he turned four he enjoyed it even more as he would set up Matchbox cars, small plastic animal and soldier figures and use it as "Godzilla" and let it knock everything down. He would also walk down the hallway following it or let it loose on my wife who was cooking in the kitchen. He played with it alot for about a year before he moved on to something else. Overall it was worth it and holds up well making it a good value for us.

Playskool Kota and Pals Monty T-Rex
I am very disappointed as 2 of the pals don't work and large one doesn't walk. Is there a guarantee if they were a present? Loved when all work But...

paid a great price and sooo glad
I would not have paid the $65-70 dollars for this toy but on Amazon one day I got it for 29.99. Glad I paid so "little" since it is cool but has not been a hit like I thought it MIGHT be. My 3-year-old did receive some cool toys that he has gravitated to more and maybe in time he will "discover" Monty Rex, but right now he's just hanging out in the corner:)

Great Dino!
We bought Monty Rex for my 20 month old son after he fell in love with him in the store. I know he's on the young side and well under the recommended age for the toy, but you'd never know that by watching him play with it. He carries Monty all over the house and has figured out how to make him crunch, walk, burp, wag his tail, sneeze and purr. He loves this toy! It's already taken a couple spills and tolerates being carried all over the house by a little guy. I am very pleased with it so far and I would replace it if it broke today, after only a week of use. I got a fantastic deal at under 30 bucks just before Christmas. Even knowing that, I would have been pleased with it at 60. My son loves it and my two older daughters (3 and 5) play with it when they can get it away from my son!

My son's new pet
My 5-year-old son got this for Christmas and fell in love with it. It's big, fuzzy, moves and makes noise, and is actually cute-looking(dinosaurs aren't often "cute"): it's like a pet. He has lots of dinosaur toys but this is by far the most fun for him. It was rather expensive (I got it before it went on sale), but worth it. It seems plenty durable- nothing has broken or gone wrong in the two months that he's been playing with it. Also, this is a dinosaur toy that I think little girls would really enjoy, with it's fuzziness and cuteness.

One Happy Great Grand Daughter!!
My 3 year old Great Grand Daughter is really into dinos and dragons!! She can name ever dino and she can tell you if it is a din or a dragon. She loved Monty right out of the box and told me he was a T-Rex and he is a meat eater.I bought him so my Grandson could give his daughter a special gift to hang onto when he left to go back to Korea! He is their special friend and he looks out her her until daddy comes home in January!Everytime she plays with him she finds another sensor that makes him do something else.Great toy and the seller was great with price and quick delivery!

Children terrified
Hello.I thought this toy would be a great present for my dinosaur loving 3 year old for Christmas. No, he was terrified of it. He made he put it away and would cry every time he saw it (my daughter, 2, took great pleasure in taking it out of the closet and chasing him with it, so I had to relocate it). Now 6, he plays with it. He doesn't play with it that much, however. The sounds it makes are kind of scary (crunching bones, roaring), I suppose, for littler kids. Anyway, so it doesn't get very much playtime but that's alright. At least he plays with it now.I have another daughter who is 2 now and she is also terrified as much as he was when she sees it. She cries, says "No!" and runs. She won't stop crying till it's away. So, it has to remain in my sons room and not be taken out for that. I don't know what it is with it, but for two of my kids, they were terrified. My other daughter who used to torture my son with it (now 5), was never scared of it, though.

My 2 yr old's new "pet"
Got this for my son for Christmas. Would not have considered it at its orginal price and almost bought one of the lesser versions (smaller, less features but cheaper) in this line of toys when this went on sale for $29.99. Not my son's favorite toy, but at two years old, he has the attention span of, well, a two year old and doesn't spend too much time with any one toy. However, when he does play with it he seems to enjoy it. (By the way, as I type this my son has switched from playing with his kid basketball setup to watching Yo Gabba Gabba and now is playing with Monty himself). He likes roaring at it and seeing it roar back, and commands it to "Walk!" as he presses Monty's back. He grabs and inspects Monty's mouth and teeth and tail and gets a kick out of Monty's reactions. Considering I have caught him doing this to our dogs more than once, I'm glad he has turned his muzzle and tail grabbing to Monty. The toy is pretty big, big enough that my son thinks he can sit on it and ride it or tackle it and thus far Monty has held up to all the antics.
