This battery is an absolute piece of garbage! I followed the instructions to the letter about the first charge to extend the battery life. It worked just fine for about a month. Then I noticed the battery only charged to 95%, which wouldn’t be so bad if this were true. Although it says that battery is charged to 95%, if I unplug the laptop, it immediately shuts down. The battery doesn’t hold a charge AT ALL!!! This defective battery has effectively turned my laptop into a desktop because it must be plugged in at all times to work. My rating would be ZERO stars if that were an option.

I had a swollen OEM battery that I replaced with this one. The two included screwdrivers worked well enough. The phillips head screwdriver was not magnetic, but the tri-point screwdriver was. This kit did not come with a spudger, so I used a plastic knife as a lever to disconnect my old battery.I started my mac without any problems, although the system date and time was wrong because the battery installation cut power to the time-keeping circuit in the computer. No worries; after connecting to the network, that automatically fixed itself.The manufacture date of the battery is January 2019, and the battery reports 0 cycles and 6000 mAh capacity. The battery works. I'll update this review if something goes wrong.Update: the capacity is now 5488 mAh after 4 cycles. So it's not the highest quality battery (but seems to be the cheapest on amazon). I use this laptop plugged in 95% of the time, so it doesn't bother me.

Received a poor quality battery that stopped holding charge within a couple months :(I used this item to replace the battery on my MacBook Pro (super easy to install). I used the laptop a few times over the course of a couple weeks, and the battery seemed fine. I then stored the laptop on my desk for approx 2 months (it’s not my primary computer). When I opened the laptop approx 2 months later, the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. I have to keep the laptop plugged in to use it, or it shuts off. Total waste of money.

Bought it to breath new life into our old MacBook Pro for my 11 year old to use for online classes. Original MacBook battery gave up the ghost after 7 years of heavy use and had swollen to the point the trackpad became unusable.So far, so good. Battery life seems decent, close to what the OEM battery was when new. Charges normally, and battery status reads accurately.This laptop is not usually used when not plugged in anyway, but MacBooks cut their processor speed in half to reduce power consumption when no battery is installed (it’s is a safety feature, the battery prevents power spikes and drops).For a few bucks to keep this old MacBook running, I think it was well worth it.

When I bought this to replace my original battery (which lasted me 7 years), I thought I'd found an inexpensive way to keep this macbook going. It lasted pretty long at first (5 hours), but gradually started dropping faster. By nine months, it was almost as bad as my original when I changed it, and it began to swell up and affect the touch pad. I know there's a 12-month warranty, but I just couldn't see myself constantly convincing them it went bad, and constantly replacing them. I went to a Certified Apple place for this new one I've got.

It looks and feels like a poorly made piece of crap. The unit itself looks superglued together and hardly has the build or weight of the apple designed counterpart. Again if you want to save a few bucks give it a try but I'm curious as to how long this battery will really last, I just swapped out an authentic apple designed macbook battery from a mid 2009. Thats almost 9 years on the last battery, theres no way this one can match up, I just hope it doesn't blow up or explode. There is so much knock off made in china crap on Amazaon these days, lesson learned on trying to pinch a penny but you have to understand there's a reason why its cheaper

It’s a decent battery for the price. Do not expect Apple level performance, HASESS battery is lighter than the original Apple battery. HASESS battery weighs in at about 346.1 [g] Vs. Apple’s 362.4 [g]; meaning that HASESS battery contains less lithium. You can expect about 2-2.5 hrs of heavy use and around 5-6hrs of average use. As for this battery it came with 80% charge and with 2 cycles. It operates at about 10.1V and holds about 5947 mAh. A few things to note is that I have not experienced any battery bloating issues nor random shutdowns. tho there is ONE problem, it DOES NOT retain its max charge capacity after a few cycles, meaning that it’s max charge capacity of 5947mAh will decrease after a some cycles .... it’s not that big of deal as this decrease in charge is minimal.MacBook Pro Mid 2012 13 -inch Non-Retina display

Great Product brought new life back into my mac book. Mac would turn off after removing charger. Now my macbook last all day no problem at all and sits evenly on a table (old battery was swollen). I even think it last longer than the original battery.
