New Balance Men's NBG1701 Spiked Golf Shoe

I bought these as of last September. Comfortable golf sneakers. I walk a lot on them every weekend on the golf course. They only lasted 6 months and water started getting in them through the bottom sole. It would be nice if they had a one year waterproof warranty.

This is the first time in a while my feet haven't ached after a round of golf. My older Dry Joys were way too heavy and offered little lateral support. The New Balance golf shoes are feather light for shoes with soft-spikes. Both shoes weigh what one of the Dry Joys weighed. Arch and side support was excellent. The soft spikes are perfect. Not too hard and not to soft. Although they will need replacing at some point. They have a wider toes which is more comfortable and my foot does not slide inside the shoe. These have made golf more enjoyable.

Excellent, comfortable fit for a man with large, wide feet (15 4E.) The upper, sole, and outsole wear well, and the waterproofing performs as advertised. The only thing preventing a 5 Star rating is the fact that the spikes, while of high quality, are a gigantic grizzly bear to change! (I ruined a pair through impatience, and had to buy a new pair of shoes...have the guy or gal at the proshop do this task for you...it's usually a "free" service if you purchase the spikes from them.

Got the first pair,ordered a size 12 (same as all my shoes) they were too big. Company was great on the exchange. Sent new size same day and gave me credit on pair I sent before they got them. Second pair 11.5 fit perfectly. I love them. I walk and carry my clubs. My feet felt great. I replaced the uncertainty with better ones but, I do that with all my shoes. I will buy these again. And the price is unbeatable. Love them.Update. I golfed in the rain today and my feet stayed dry. These are great shoes. It was cold and wet all day and my feet were cool and dry but not cold. I will buy another pair in black.

The shoes fit as I expected for extra wide. I like the New Balance brand and have been wearing their athletic shoes for years. They used to be made in the US, which was a plus in my book. However, they are now made in China. I have trouble finding wide golf shoes and this brand solves that problem. I have bought Footjoy brand in 2W for years and thought I would try a familiar brand for a change. HOWEVER, their Champ cleat system leaves a lot to be desired. I removed one cleat to check on its availability in my local store. I could not get the spike back in without striping the cheap thread. I tried to use a Fast Twist type spike that most golf shoes use, but it did not fit. Also, these Champ spikes are not easily found in stores. UPDATE: The replacement spikes can be bought at Dick's Sporting Goods.I would have rated the shoes a 5 stars except for the type of spikes used. They need to abandon Champ and go to Softspikes fast twist brand. I'm sending a copy of this review to New Balance also..

Although I liked the look of the Calloway Balboa TRX shoe better, this was the most comfortable pair I tried of all 6 pairs I got. The 10.5 2E fit my fairly wide foot like a glove, and they are well made and VERY comfortable. I have not yet used them on the course, but I suspect they'll be great. I do prefer a more "traditional" looking golf shoe, and these look more like sneakers, but they are so comfortable that I decided to keep them.

I've been wearing only New Balance shoes for the last several years because they offer great support and comfort. Very pleasantly surprised to find out they make a golf shoe!! Never would've guessed. I've been measured as about a 10 and a quarter medium, so wasn't sure if a 10 would be too small. Happy to say they fit perfectly, especially in the width, and that's why I said they fit "somewhat large", but certainly not too large. If you wear a normal size 10 you should be fine. If you don't already know, never buy golf shoes that are too tight. I found this out the hard way. Do yourself and your feet a favor and buy these shoes!!! As always, Amazon's service is fantastic with very fast delivery.

I am a fan of New Balance products, though these are my first golf shoes from them. Everything I like about my other pairs is the same here: excellent fit, great construction and good footbed. As for the golf aspect--couldn't be better. Great stability and traction, excellent water resistance and lightweight Another excellent experience

This is the first golf shoe I have found over many years that claims to be a wide fitting and really is ! it comes with a width classification such as 2E 4E et cetera that gives a set width dimension . Not only , they are extremely comfortable and offered great support they are not cheap but so far I think the cost is justifiable for someone who has wide feet.

Comfortable shoes but the build quality sucks. They will not last long. Has nothing to do with the seller and everything to do with New Ballance

Solid shoe, great for walkers with hilly terrain. I also got them for $56 so no complaints.
