A faster-paced and darker episode and with more Voldemort moving the series towards a conclusion
This Episode 6 of the Harry Potter series sees the story of Tom Riddle and his metamorphosis into the Dark Lord Voldemort told through Dumbledore and Harry exploring memories through the Pensieve. There is the familiar formula to the book of the beginning with the Dursley's, fun at The Burrow, confrontation with Draco Malfoy, and the usual magical lessons and interactions and romance with Harry's school peers. Here there is a new teacher, Horace Slughorn, who takes the roll of Potions Master, whilst Snape gets his long coveted post of Defence Against the Dark Arts. Snape's loyalties remain ever enigmatic and shifting, and the word 'Horcrux' enters the English language. All in all at about 543 pages this is a considerable improvement over the even lengthier Goblet of Fire and the glacial Order of the Phoenix. There is more interest and action, the story grows darker and sets up a final conclusion for Episode 7. I thought this was one of the best in the series, and a return to form.

only one more to go:)
Everyone knows a bit about Harry Potter so I will focus here not on the contents of the book but on the quality of this book as a product. The book is a present for my child that loves Harry Potter and has seen all the films, but now when she is older (10 years old) she wants to read all the books too. I was between buying a full set with the box that is more expensive or buying separate books from this company - cheaper option especially that this book came in an offer.I have ordered book 1 and 2 to check if it is worth it.I am very happy to say that it is and now I have all 7 books for £30.The set looks great and I am very happy with my buyThe books are:- good size that can be held by a child or adult for a long time- weight - this version has a paper cover and light weight pages so the book is on the lighter side and good for kids- paper quality and the colour are good. The books that I bought had all their pages, the bonding is holding them in and does not feel like they will fall out any time soon- size and spaces between the words is very comfortable for my eyes and I can read it without glasses- illustration that is on the cover is very nice and definitely in the Harry Potter style- very good delivery time and I can have all 7 books for £30 with all the promotions I have got on them:)I hope you will like my review, if you found it useful please hit ‘Helpful’. It will make my day:)XX

If a book could have more than five stars out of five, this would be the one.
Oh yes, oh yes oh yes!!!I could hurl a hundred superlatives at this book, most of which you've probably heard before, but they’d all be deserved. So, Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, and what a year.I like to think of this one as a history book: not one of those big boring books that goes on and on about a long forgotten civilisation, a King or a Queen, but a book about Harry's past, his connection with Voldemort, and one that delves deep into the Dark Lord’s past, by way of memories in the pensieve in Dumbledore's office; memories that the headmaster has spent many years collecting.Harry has inherited his god-father's house and the vile elf, Kreacher, who he puts to good use following Draco Malfoy. Harry knows that Draco is up to something, he overheard him threatening the owner of Borgin and Burkes in Knockturn alley, he just doesn't know what. There are potions to master, (somewhat helped by an old potions book he finds in the spares cupboard, annotated and proclaiming to be the property of the half-blood prince; there's Snape to avoid, quidditch to play and an uncorrupted memory to extract from their new potions master, Professor Horace Slughorn; who taught Tom Riddle before he became Lord Voldemort. There are girls, there's snogging and there's Ginny Weasley, who Harry is starting to see in a different light. To top it all, there are Horcruxes to find, hidden objects that contain parts of Voldemort's soul, and this is where these books are so clever. It is here, in book six, that we discover that Tom Riddle's diary - which Harry destroyed in The Chamber of Secrets, (book two) - was in fact a Horcrux. Dumbledore has already destroyed another, Voldemort's grandfather's ring, and with Horace Slughorn relinquishing his untainted memory, they now know that they have four more to find, excluding the part of soul that resides in Voldemort himself. So, over five hundred pages in and the adventure begins, but Draco has succeeded in his task, Death Eaters have entered the school, the dark mark hangs heavy above the astronomy tower, Dumbledore is disarmed, Harry immobilised, Snape . . .I know that most of you already know the ending to this book, you've probably seen the film, but I put it to you, that unless you have read this book, you do not know the ending. The battle between the Death Eaters and The Order, Snape and Malfoy's escape, the burning of Hagrid's hut, and the most moving part of all, Dumbledore's phoenix and its lament, echoing hauntingly through the corridors and classrooms of Hogwarts. If a book could have more than five stars out of five, this would be the one. Simply put, this book if stunning.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, here I come.

Mmmmm sticky finger prints
Mucky fingerprints all over the cover like some scruffs been eating crisps and cleaning his hands on it. Also he's creased the front cover and as a brand new item from Amazon I didn't expect or want this. Price was cheap as though so I guess that's a silver lining on a crumpled greasy cloud.

Clever plot twists
Beautifully written. Amazing plot twists and turns. Page-turning element very strong, as usual. Difficult to follow for young children, but ok for children aged 10 plus. I enjoyed this book and I am 78. It's a high standard HP book which is on the way to explaining Snapes character, and seeming cruelty. It is clever.

Rowling weavers another wonder!!!
Lord Voldemort is alive and the wizard community is in an uproar. The Death Eaters evil deeds are spreading beyond the wizard world and threatening the muggle world. Dementors are everywhere draining all light, hope, and happiness. All the while plots abound (Is Harry really "The Chosen One'?), danger is around every corner (has Draco become a Death Eater?), and Harry, Ron, and Hermione still have to decide on what course to take for their N.E.W.T's (Nasty Exhausting Wizarding Tests). Ah, to be a 16 year old wizard. Author JK Rowling has once again weaved a riveting adventure that's suspenseful, gripping, and imaginative. A darker book in an increasngly dark series (there's another death that effects Harry deeply), but Potter fans will undoubtedly read it from cover to cover, over and over again, while waiting for the grand finale. I know I will. :) Other suggested reading: "The Chronicles of Narnia" by CS Lewis and "GAAK" by Darryl Hughes. Both wonderful all age adventures.

Pretty good
The book came in a fine condition and its packaging was good. The dust jacket was not looking like orignal on the spine. The binding of the book was not according to my expectations and it was kinda looking like the pages would come out. But i can't blame that much 'cause it was a first edition and now it's rare. It was also a bit torn at the edges. 3 stars for the condition and 5 for the book. Besides it was nice 😊

A Shock awaits...
What can I say about this book? I will definitely like to say that I Loved the Book, loved reading the story as the final war draws near..But... Well I Did Know What's gonna happen... And still it leaves me Shocked... The greatest Wizard.. is DEAD?!And.. At the Same time We Know the arc of Snape...But yet his acts at the climax of this book..enrages..The Somewhat Soothing Part of the Story is the growing love stories...And the introduction of Horcruxes are the most intriguing part...It remains to be Seen.. How does the War Starts and How does it end? How many more dear Characters will we lose? And How will Harry Survive the War?For All that I will be reading the final Part soon..For Now.. I am going to Nurse my Shocked Heart a bit...And then will start the next..Till then... Happy Reading..

Breathtaking story! Heartbreaking end!
A war is waging between the light and the dark side whereas muggles are right at the centre of this struggle. By passing their O.W.L. exams, the trio starts their sixth year at Hogwarts. While Draco is trying to fulfill his wicked plans by any means necessary, Harry find himself at the top of his potions class with the help of a book belonging to the Half-Blood Prince. Students at are getting attacked at Hogwarts... it's like opening of the Chamber of Secrets all over again. Secrets and suspicions are spreading through Hogwarts like wildfire. What is Draco's real motive? And who is this mysterious Half-Blood Prince - a friend or foe? It's the sixth book in #harrypotter series. The plot was great and writing is epic. The characters of Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy are more pronounced than ever! It provides the necessary answers regarding the Dark Lord. I liked the romantic atmosphere at Hogwarts which makes it a perfect read for February. Like Order of Phoenix, the ending is pretty sad and will force you to bawl like a baby. 😭 Thank You! 😊

Totally worth all your money.
Well it's J. K Rowling after all. She is a genius and in every single page an eagle eyed reader can find tons of Easter eggs which point out to the story. Every single page contributes to the story. This is a lot darker than the previous books but the comic elements are still there. My favourite book of the series as it brings out the true Dumbledore - Harry relationship! Take my money, Jo.

Consiglio assolutamente.

Jim Dales unglaubliche Stimmenvielfalt

Couldn't be better.
I'm not worthy enough to describe the Harry Potter series in words. There's only one person who has the right to do so, the greatest witch of all time, JK ROWLING!The only cons of the series is that once you read the first words, “Mr and Mrs Dursley at no. 4 Privet Drive....” you can't get over it.No age group, No race, No limits, only MAGIC!Joane is such a pure soul. Now Product Review: tbh, I've ordered couple of books of the series from Snapdeal and Flipkart. Here's a quick comparison of condition of books:Amazon>Flipkart>Snapdeal (Never buy from snapdeal they sell at low prices but pages are missing, torn and even the cover is in poor condition)Now, Imma never buy books from Flipkart/Snapdeal.Amazon is best (atleast for books)
