The range of this phone is better than most. Exact range depends on wall materials & thickness, but we live in a large Spanish house with thick concrete walls and this phone works perfectly all over the house and the (large) garden. (The intercom capability is especially useful to us.)

Hello. I think the only way to record them is to allow the message recorder to answer the call, then pick up the call yourself. This will give you about 1 or 2 minutes of recording time. You can play that back after call has ended.

Q: Can you add extra cordless phones to this setup i have 3 inc answerphone, i require 2 more for other rooms. will any panasonic cordless phones work?

You can add up to 3 extra handsets (total 6) to the system, according to the manual. These could be any-DECT compatible phones. Whatever the make, they would ring on, and could pick up, an incoming call & can make outgoing calls. Other makes & other Panasonic models would probably not have full compatibility unless you bought the KX-TGA806, which is specifically for the task, but normally found in black. The single handset model in this range, KX-TG8051, without answering capability, should also work. (The handset for this would need to be added to the original base before powering on the base that is provided with it to ensure that the handset is registered to the original base. After that, the new base could be used as a charging station & NOT connected to the landline.)
