Straight on it & love it! Maple syrup flavour to try next!
This arrived not 20 minutes ago & I was straight on it!...& It's GOOD!So first up, I just want to balance 1 or 2 reviews I saw before my purchase.1. This thing was packaged up pretty dang securely. There were 3 layers of recyclables as layers of protection in delivery and the only way this bottle would be getting broken is if the postman jumped on the bloody thing.2. The label reflects the true nutritional value & I've uploaded a photo to show you. There's even big text now that says 'near zero' for anyone that is a donkey.Anyway, I went balls deep with this one & poured a healthy dab on a teaspoon & shoveled it in. Puckered my lips a bit and had a taste. Nice! The overwhelming flavour is definitely of sweetened caramel however au natural there's a bit of an alcoholy type tinge to it. I wouldn't recommend downing a bottle on its own.Coincidentally (or was it?) I was preparing pancakes so had to throw some on there to give it the true seal of approval. Drizzled generously on top it, it deserves it. It adds that nice caramel type flavour that just tickles your sweet tooth. It's not an overwhelming flavour but compliments it nicely. My 2nd test was to throw some in the mix as well & I actually think that took it to the next level. The flavour was much better balanced & it took away that sweetener tang that you get from low calorie products like this.My final test was salting those bad boys up & this for me was king. Salted caramel flavoured low calorie pancakes. Hell yeah! My dreams are made of less...In all honesty, nothing beats the real thing but as a low calorie alternative it really is the bee's knees. This will certainly change my cutting phase as now I have this to look forward to. Add a little salt & this baby will go far!As a final comment, it does taste like a sweetener based alternative to the actual thing but if you've ever had anything low calorie caramel flavoured before, you will know what I mean. It's not bad but it's not for everyone. Also, I'm not sure what titanium dioxide is but that's on the ingredients list. Sounds like a strange thing to have on there.......If you're interested in the killer low cal pancakes too, here's the recipe. Make sure you cook them in a pretty low heat though otherwise they'll burn.Serves 3:75g oats3 scoops of protein powder3 eggs1 tsp baking powder1 cup of buttermilkBlend those babies up and fry them in a teensy bit of butter. There's like 300 calories a serving & 30grams of protein.Update: had it on ice cream last night & it was ridiculously good!

Tasty syrup
I bought this because it says calorie free, although i suspect there may be one or two, as, from what i've read online, in the USA, they can claim something is calorie free, and are allowed 5 calories difference. Not that 5 calories matter.I wanted something to satisfy my sweet craving so thought this would be a fantastic addition to my fridge, and I bought it before reading online reviews, which, whilst some are favourable, a lot are extremely negative. In my humble opinion, the taste is OK if you have a little bit on a spoon, but would probably taste sickly very quickly if you had much more than that.I added some to natural yoghurt for extra taste, and it was OK, and last night, I boiled some milk with a good dollop of this syrup in for a yummy caramel hot milk drink before bed. It certainly satisfied me with the right amount of sweetness.I would think it's all down to personal taste preferences. It's OK added to things - maybe a bit of ice cream or plain yoghurt, but not to be had in large doses on its own. Although as I've said, it's your personal choice. If you like caramel flavour things, then I don't think you'll be disappointed, but don't think you can eat it like nuttella or peanut butter because chances are, you can't.It's quite pricey, although the bottle is bigger than I was expecting, but because it's in a glass bottle, the postage really hikes up the cost.I'm not disappointed with my purchase, but I doubt I'd be buying any more as I can't justify the extra for posting. but that's the only reason. As a low/zero calorie addition to food, you can't go wrong.

Yummy!
This caramel sauce is great. I was apprehensive about ordering it given all the negative reviews of Waldens Farms products, but I'm really glad I did because I was extremely pleasantly surprised with the product. It's a good consistency, not too runny but easily pourable. the colour is a little odd but that doesn't put me off. It tastes great, really nice and treacley. I didn't notice a chemical flavour at all but I'm used to the taste of sweetener because I use it all the time anyway. I wonder whether the poor reviews are from people that don't like the taste of sweetener - this is made with sweetener (otherwise it wouldn't be so low calorie) so of course it has that "sweetener" tang to it.This is a great product, I'm very pleased with it and will definitely buy it again.

Horrible stuff
Was so looking forward to this as I love caramel 'anything, but don't want the sugar. Looked great , the packaging was brilliant. However, It's absolutely disgusting. Chemical poo as someone else said. Tastes like a cross between the most vile medicine you have ever tried to choke down and paint stripper. Not that I have ever tasted paint stripper. Leaves a strange cold feeling on the tongue and an aftertaste of synthetic crap. I almost expect to have a nuclear glow after eating this stuff.
