ESEE Knives Molle Back Attachment for 5P and 6P

I've put my esee 5 knife on this its top quality it will last for ever I would buy another no problem.

I didn't buy this product from Amazon, but do own it, and need to clear up a few misconceptions voiced by previous reviewers. One complains that it isn't an enclosed sheath and the blade is exposed and will cut you and the straps, THIS ISN'T A SHEATH!! It is a sheath ADAPTOR!! Although the Esee 5 does come without one, most versions are supplied with a kydex sheath, with a belt loop. This product attaches to it to convert it to a MOLLE/Webbing compatible system. It is NOT meant to be used with only the knife!! The second issue is a reviewer commenting that it has a strap but doesn't have a quick release buckle, this is because the strap in question is designed to hold the handle securely while the top flap is secured over the handle, the reason being that this knife was made as a military survival knife, and has to be "Jump certified", meaning that it can't have anything protruding that might catch when a paratrooper is making a jump. In normal use, both the buckle and the flap sit behind the handle and aren't in use, the kydex sheath has a retention switch that keeps the blade secure. Essentially, both these features are superfluous and not needed unless you are in the military, but can be used to provide extra security when not being used. On the whole this is a good product, and great design when used as intended, which is to convert the standard Esee 5 sheath into a MOLLE compatible item.

I have had my Esee 5 for awhile and have wanted the molle backing. I finally bit the bullet ordered it in. I was really pleased with the design and how it is put together, I love the molle strapping on the back and the ability to put an Esee survival pouch on it, ( I purchased the pouch before I ordered the molle backing.} This set up makes for a really fantastic survival set up, it seemed a bit pricey until I put it all together, its really cool and really a functional piece of survival gear, typical as Esee gear is !!...shipping and delivery was fast and accurate. I`m relly satisfied and would do it again !!.

Rather you like it or not, this is the new version of the Esee 5 molle back.

Diese ESEE 5 Scheide überzeugt auf ganzer Linie! Die Verarbeitung ist erstklassig – das robuste Nylon macht einen extrem widerstandsfähigen Eindruck und hält problemlos jeder Witterung stand. Genau das, was man im Outdoor-Einsatz braucht. Besonders begeistert hat mich die vielseitige Befestigungsmöglichkeit. Dank der MOLLE-Rückseite lässt sich die Scheide flexibel an Rucksack, Weste oder Tasche anbringen. Auch am Gürtel sitzt sie stabil und sicher – selbst bei breiteren Gürteln bis 6 cm. Kein Wackeln, kein Verrutschen. Die zusätzliche Zubehör-Pouch auf der Vorderseite ist ein echtes Highlight. Die mitgelieferte Blechdose mit ESEE-Logo ist nicht nur praktisch, sondern auch optisch ein Hingucker. Ideal für Feuerstahl, Pflaster, Angelzubehör oder andere kleine Survival-Utensilien. Der Druckknopfverschluss hält das Messer absolut sicher in Position. Kein unbeabsichtigtes Herausfallen – auch bei Bewegung oder im anspruchsvollen Gelände. Gleichzeitig bleibt der Zugriff schnell und unkompliziert. Fazit: Eine durchdachte, robuste und äußerst praktische Scheide mit hohem Tragekomfort. Wer sein ESEE 5 optimal ausrüsten möchte, macht hier definitiv nichts falsch!
