So all you need is cabbage, water, egg, spring onions, meat/prawns and the other 3 toppings i.e. Japanese mayo, okonomiyaki sauce and katsuobushi. It’s enough to make 2 portions and convenient when you suddenly fancy it. I have not tried the real thing in Japan so can’t tell if it tastes like the real deal but I bought it after watching videos on YouTube and had cabbage leftover, and I like it! I reluctantly decided to take a shortcut and brought a couple of these kit. The results were fantastic, with one of the pancakes coming out almost exactly as all the pictures I'd seen. You do need to source some of the extra toppings, but I had these from trying to put the whole thing together myself. A single packet make two pancakes which is more than enough for two. I still have one of the kit left but I am reluctant to use it as the kit now seem to be in short supply.
