It fitted lovely. the waistband is elasticated.it was very comfortable for the whole evening. It Was a perfect length with a medium heel on my 5.3 height.

So it only arrived so I am probably being over zealous in my praise. What I love about it first of all is the sleeves. They really are long draped and it give the dress a different edge. Beware though it is for very tall people so as I am 5ft 3 there is plenty of material at the bottom. Luckily enough I have platform shoes a necessity for little people like me. So it more than compensates and if I need to I will get it taken up. I have to say the quality of the fabric is better than I thought and overall I feel comfortable and confident in it. It really is very flattering with the aline/empire line and it's not a cheap looking dress.
