The right number of pockets, and a good size
This bag offers a reasonable number of pockets, including a nicely quick accessible laptop pocket, more than big enough for my MacBook air (in case) and charger. There are two front pockets in addition to the main pocket, one with a nice organizer to store a few pens, without being overcomplex. The overall size big enough for a few A4 textbooks with room to spare, but does not look too big, probably because it is more tall than thick, a much better shape in my opinion. The design is a dark grey colour, with a solid blue main zip and a solid yellow laptop zip. Both zips are of a "flat" style. I thought it was more interesting than the usual cheap shiny black with ugly shiny zips, but it's definitely not a cutting edge design that would work with any outfit, which is the price you pay for having more pockets than a vintage look or roll top design.Wearing the bag, the straps are nicely padded, but not too thick, and there is a reasonably sturdy back panel to prevent anything from jabbing into you. There is a nicely adjustable chest strap that can also be adjusted up and down, but note there is no waist strap.Build quality seems good, with no loose stitching or cheap materials, as you would expect from Mammut. It is not waterproof unlike more expensive courier bags, but would withstand the rain.Overall, a reasonably priced bag from a known quality manufacturer, that will probably last a good time.
