Cars Oliver Lightload Hauler

Oliver Lightload Hauler arrived as promised and as it was advertised. Car and package were in excellent condition.Outstanding service. Detailed description aided greatly in my decision to buy.

I read the one review on this truck, and thought my son would love it. However, it's been nothing but a struggle for him. I don't mind a toy that helps him hone fine motor skills, mind you, so that's not the problem. The trailer on this toy slides out, then there is a ramp that has to be twisted, pushed, and unfolded. Each step is difficult, too difficult for my son to do by himself. Also, the cars won't stay at the top of the ramp once it's unfolded. Then there is the biggest problem of all; my son pointed out that this truck is not in either movie. Epic fail!

Cheap.

I think this is a good size for small hands to move around and play with. It feels a little flimsy but actually holds up well and the pieces fit together nicely so I think it should last. So far my toddler has kicked it and dropped and banged it into other toys and no sign of damage. It's not very exciting as a character...which I actually prefer. I don't really want all my kids toys to be merchandising and advertising for something. If it weren't for the windshield-eyes and the packaging, I wouldn't even know that is from 'Cars.'Ultimately, I needed to find a relatively generic "Brown Big Rig" because that's what he said to Santa and this fit the bill. I agree with others that the unconventional opening and loading mechanism in the trailer is not easy to use, which is why I give it 4 rather than 5 stars. However, unless your child will really be interested in loading and unloading smaller cars into the trailer by using the ramp...I don't think it matters. My son just opens it and puts whatever he wants in and closes it up.

My son has quite a few of the cars haulers and they all open differently but this one is almost IMPOSSIBLE to open! I don't know why on earth this hauler was made this way, it is difficult for an adult to open correctly without breaking it so how is a child suppose to do it?! Also, the door of the hauler does not stay shut or latch so every time you move the truck or pick it up the back flies open. Very disappointed!! I would not have purchased this item had I known this beforehand.
