ENCASED Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Otterbox Defender Case - Galaxy S9 (case not included)

This is the first screen protector I have ever had to purchase as I am a vehement Otter Defender user and had no choice since the faceplate was removed for case for the S9 due to the device having a curved screen.For those of you who are complaining that the protector broke after one fall - that is EXACTLY what it is supposed to do. A screen PROTECTOR is meant to distribute shock amongst itself so that said shock is not absorbed by the device it is protecting. So if the screen protector cracked, but your phones screen didnt, it did its job and died an honorable death fulfilling its destiny.Mine has already fulfilled its destinyThis screen protector is for those of you who A) Can never get an adhesive protector on without bubbling and B) Like the actual feeling of glass. This came with a nice applicator tray that makes it impossible for you to not place it on correctly.I am rather disappointed at Otters choice of faceplate removal but this is the next best thing. As noted earlier - make sure that you set the touchscreen settings to high sensitivity.The only reason why I am giving it 4 starts is because my phone fell and a small resulting crack formed on the glass. I would hope it was more durable being tempered glass, but it damn sure did its job of protecting my device.Fits in the case perfectly.

The screen cover is very easy to install and looks nice on. With the increased touch sensitivity, the phone worked fine except at the edges of the screen where it is rounded. However, the cover is not effective because it falls off constantly and will now (after 3 weeks) no longer stick at all. So basically it is useless. The cover doesn't connect with the case at all so the only thing holding it on is a tiny strip of adhesive around the edges. This is clearly insufficient. However, the cover has no broken in the 20 or so times it has fallen off.

Just as advertised this tempered glass screen protector works well with the Otterbox Defender case. Installation was simple with the included positioning guide. Be sure to follow the instructions and enable touch sensitivity before installing the screen protector. I followed their advice and I've had no issues interacting with the phone \ touch screen. The visual clarity is very good, no haziness or loss of brightness. So far I've had no problems with the protector staying attached to the phone. The only negative thus far is that the screen protector seems to show fingerprints and smudges more so than the factory screen.

This is a great screen protector. It fits perfectly in my Galaxy S9's Otterbox Defender, as the description for this screen protector states.Before installing the screen protector, I suggest removing the Otterbox case, then applying the screen protector.I also suggest (if using Android 8.0 Oreo or later), go into Settings and search "touch sensitivity". This setting will increase the responsiveness of the touchscreen.

So expensive at $1! I treated my new Galaxy S9 phone with TLC. It was very protected from day one with this glass cover and otterbox defender.Update: it's so thin that normal finger pressure cracked it after a couple months! Has never been dropped or abused. Expect a replacement. 2nd one fell off.Contacted company and am waiting for call back.

Got this product and put it on my phone immediately. I dropped my phone on the carpet and when it hit the carpet the screen protector came off and there was a small crack in the screen protector. I understand that i dropped it but i dropped it on the carpeting. I thought it would be more sturdy then that. Definitely would not buy again

For those of you wondering how well this fits in an Otterbox Defender case, wonder no more. This screen protector has just the right amount of clearance between its edge and the Defender case to eliminate any interference that would cause the protector to be pushed off of the screen. (I had this issue with another "case friendly" screen protector.)The adhesive along the edges is really sticky and is holding up well after 3 days, even when I have the phone in my pocket while doing strenuous yard work. Touch sensitivity is practically indistinguishable with the native screen performance w/o a protector.I cannot speak to durability yet since the phone has not been dropped or bumped.Installation is a breeze with the provided plastic alignment guide.This protector is a little pricy, but worth it if it lives up to its purpose.

Updated: I have had this for about 6 months now and it has come off a couple of times and now it doesn't really fit very well at all. It stays on still but it moves and "pops" when using the phone. I don't expect it to last much longer and then I will be looking for something different since I won't be buying this again.Installation was very easy with the included template but my screen isn't as responsive as it was before. A little glitchy and laggy sometimes. Not sure if it's really the fault of the protector or just because the screen has something else on it now. So I got another one from the seller (warranty) and had this one on for about three months and then it popped off when the phone fell from about 3 feet... I know from past experience now that it will no longer stay on since it's come off so I will be looking for a skin instead. The other little annoyance with this when it's on the glass doesn't really sit completely flat on the screen so there are little pops and crackling noise when touching it, doesn't happen all the time but it happens enough to notice it. I wouldn't recommend this (or probably any of the glass protectors) to anyone asking me.

It is so unfortunate that Otterbox Defender no longer comes with the screen protector built in! That was an amazing feature on the older S6 cases and, for the life of me, I don't know why they dropped it on the S9 cases!!! I would have happily paid a bit more for this option on my new Defender case. This Magglass screen protector was a bit pricey @ $20 for one but hopefully it will save my S9 screen from normal wear and tear scratching. Time will tell. I did indicate 5 star durability and it has definitely held up so far.

it fits fine tight and is hard to get on I have the otterbox case too. the touch screen is way harder to use not and not nearly as RESPONSIVE as when i didn't have the screen protector on however after i posted my first review the company contact me asking me about me review they gave me a helpful hint as to turn on the touch sensitive which now makes the touch screen back to being more responsive so maybe they should put a note on their product to do that. So now i say that this was a great addition to the otterbox phone is while protected but i would rather it have come with the otterbox then being sold seperately

The product itself was easy to install. Has a great applicator that makes installation quick and breezy. The quality felt good when I first took it out, however for the price I would have hoped it would last longer. I put alone it in my backpack in a padded phone pocket, but my backpack down (not with any specific force) on the bus seat and when I took it out, the corner was not only cracked, but shattered. It did, as promised, protect the LCD. The phone glass I think is all right... for the most part. The corner of the screen looks damaged but until I remove it I won't know for sure. Brand new phone so very disappointing. The shattered area is full of tiny glass fragments and the cracks are spidering across the protector. This is unfortunately one of the only options on the market that will work with the Otterbox Defender case. I'm bummed about this as there was little to no external pressure applied to the phone or glass. Otherwise, the protector has great sensitivity (make sure you turn on the sensitivity setting on your phone) and has a great feel. Lasted a month, but is ridiculously delicate for the price.

I've had this screen protector and otterbox denfender on my phone for a week, and yesterday the screen cracked while in my jacket pocket and spread across the screen. I thought the screen would be hard to remove, but it lifted right off and barely has any sticky surface!I can't believe how poor the quality is, I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend it.*Update* I contacted customer service and they sent me an invalid coupon to order a replacement, then ghosted me when I contacted them to say the code doesn't work. I then resubmitted my claim and they said they can't help me, they've already replaced my item! Don't buy this product, if it breaks they will not hold up on the warranty.

after I installed the outerbox and the tempered glass ...I dropped my phone onto a edged corner brick. The tempered glass took the impact. Unfortunately it cracked the glass - BUT --did not harm my phone screen. I always install the protective case and tempered glass on any of my phones for this reason. I can easily replace the tempered glass - my last phone I closed the trunk of the car on it. The tempered glass took the impact. My phone was not damaged at all. These protectors are worth every cent.
