Wasn't quite what I was expecting
Data and statistics about our Universe, throw in Scripture. This book is a fun read. But I was looking for it to be somewhat more of a scientific relay of WHY God exists, and if that's what you're looking for then, something like "Privileged Planet" DVD is more up your alley. The book does give you a glimpse in how big the Universe actually is, and if you're a Believer, then it will give you a sense of awe and make you step back and think how huge God actually is and how powerful and mighty. You think you have a grasp on how big the Universe is, but you can't even comprehend. The authors do a great job conveying that reality.Personally, I was looking for a book that would defend the Faith better with science, and that's what I'm always looking to read. I was recommended this book by a friend, and it's good conversation material, for sure.I would definitely recommend this book.

We Serve an Indescribably Awesome God
“Indescribable” by Louie Giglio and Matt Redman is, in a word, indescribable. In this awe-inspiring work, these two men impart incredible facts about the vastness of our universe, and the concomitant awesomeness of the God who created it and us. Uncountable stars make up our galaxy. Uncountable galaxies make up our universe. It is beyond our human ability to comprehend a universe without borders, yet that is where we live. If it DID have borders, we couldn’t conceive of what might lay beyond the borders; either way, if you think too hard about it you will surely get a headache.Lavishly illustrated with numerous photographs of stellar beauty, if “Indescribable” doesn’t bring you to your knees before our God, nothing will. The Bible tells us he formed the stars with his breath. He hung them in space, and knows each of them by their names. As vast as all that is, he also knows US by name. Our insignificant little lives, on our little blue dot called Earth, circling our modest sized star Sol, lost within the vastness of our Milky Way galaxy, which in turn is lost amongst the uncountable billions and billions of galaxies in an infinite universe… yet He knows each of us by name, and His eye is always on us. Stop and think about that for a moment. This book will bless all who read it. It will humble you. It will put you in awe of our God. It will bring tears to your eyes. It will help you to grasp just how much God truly loves you. I wish I could afford to purchase thousands of copies of “Indescribable” to give away. Because I cannot afford to do that, I will instead urge everybody reading this review to get a copy. I pray it will open your heart, mind and soul to the great goodness of God, our Creator and the Creator of this magnificent universe.

Awe inspiring!
Book HighlightsIn this book by Louie Giglio (founder of the Passion Movement and Pastor of the Passion City Church) and Matt Redman (contemporary worship leader) we have a presentation of the universe in all its glory as a magnificent work of our amazing Creator God.It says in Psalm 19:1 we read, "The heavens keep telling the wonders of God, and the skies declare what he has done."What Louie and Matt do so well in this book is to make much of God; much of all the works of God in their various forms by highlighting the wonders of God.Among other things in the universe, they show off the solar system, comets, galaxies, globular clusters, stars, relative sizes of the planets, stars, galaxies, the fine tuning of the universe, etc. While they present scientific facts, they do so in such a way that it inspires wonder and awe at our God.Another really incredible part of this book is the photography. There are spectacular pictures that have been captured from various observatories and space telescopes. The book measures about 8-1/2" x 11" which enhances the impact. My only complaint is that the kindle version does a disservice to the book presentation. The reader experience is definitely highlighted by the combination of color pictures and well placed text. What I Enjoyed MostI think what most inspired me was the sense of wonder that Louie and Matt inspire in the reader. This book is not so much a book of science as it is a book of worship. As I read it, I really felt like I gained a deeper appreciation of the creativity, power and majesty of God. It was a wonderful reading experience.ConclusionI would definitely recommend this book. It would make a great gift book or coffee table book and would be a great conversation starter.

Truly Indescribable!
The pictures of some of the planets and stars of our universe shown in this book are breathtaking. No explanation is possible or probable except that God The Almighty I AM designed and placed all of these glorious phenomena in the vast, seemingly unending sky.How some of our scientists can believe the universe and life on earth just "happened" seems impossible. I don't have enough faith to believe in the Big Bang. It has to be God.

OH, My GOD!!!!!!!
I am truly grateful to the authors of this awe-inspiring, amazing, glorious book-which actually is more than a book. This outstanding validation of the Awesome Creator of the universe is a symphony of soothing music to the ears and beautiful sight to the eyes. The scientific dimensions testify to our Creator's Presence and continual involvement with His creations. I love the way the authors depicted the Hubble telescope as a worship leader in the way that it consistently points us to the beauty and magnificence of space.Additionally, I have learned a wealth of truth about science, which in itself overwhelmingly proves God-although God being as Magnificent as He is, needs no acknowledgement from anyone; albeit, a wise person gives honor where honor is due. After reading this mesmerizing encounter, anyone with the least bit of common sense will know some awesome and amazing things. Thank you Louie and Matt for this journey of excitement, adventure, amazement, and Illuminating Truth!WOW!!!

Wonderful little treasure
I got a free copy of this ebook. I recognised Matt Redman's name and thought it sounded interesting. I do not have a 'science brain', or a maths one, but since moving to the countryside and having such a clear view of the stars I've often wanted to understand better and learn more. This book got the balance just right, pitching the science and physics so even I could get my head round it! The pictures were inspiring but not distracting, and all the facts and figures were presented in context of the God behind each number.I learned a lot of new things to thank God for and felt a whole new dimension to the term 'creator God' was presented. I'm still amazed at all the different shades of green in one field, or tones in one sunset. The whole of space is like wow...Highly recommend to anyone remotely interested in the night sky and what we can't see beyond the clouds.

If You can See
I had wanted to read this for a while because I'd heard people talk about Louie and the way he describes space. As a blind person, I'm very glad I got this book when it was free and didn't spend a lot of money on it. Perhaps it's more impactful if you can see the pictures. Without them, there are some interesting parts, but the message is a bit repetitive.

the 'silent' worship
Don't we all from time to time, stare at the night sky and wondering? let this book lead you to worship even if you are not particularly interested in astronomy. with lots of photos and articles, the authors really lead you to worship. For those who have seen the Indescribable video on Youtube, this is still a book worth reading as they expand on the worship themes. More importantly, it led me to worship! I read it on Kindle and the colour photos can be zoomed in which is fantastic. Highly recommend.

God is good.
lovely quick book to read with images so that we can be in awe of how big God really is. I would point out that on a kindle the images didn't work out well, if you do read the electronic version. Read it on a kindle app or on a colour screen. There are a few pictures of space and stars etc.
