Valera SX 6500Y RC Swiss Silent Ionic Rotocord

I purchased this Valera Swiss hairdryer for my wife for Christmas, as she has always had short hair until recently when she decided to grow it longer, I first bought her a heated styling brush as an early Christmas present and that was OK, but still she was having problems with fly away static hair when she had washed it.I had seen the Valera range advertised and went onto the Valera site to try and see what was so special about these quite expensive hair dryers, well after spending an hour reading about the technology behind the dryers and checking out that various models, I finally decided which model would suit her. I then did a search and found that the particular model that I had chosen was cheapest on Amazon, so I went ahead and purchased it.The dryer arrived and I unpacked it and tested it, I found that it was indeed very quiet compared to my wife's current dryer, at the same time the rotocord adapter was a bonus, as we all know how hair dryer leads get extremely twisted and distorted out of shape. I was impressed with the quality of the dryer and although I was unable to test the the ionic side of the dryer, I have past knowledge of Tourmaline and its properties, so on that score my wife will soon tell if this is as good as Valera profess it to be.The only thing to note here is that the hairdryer is fitted with a continental Schuko plug, however it is quite inexpensive to obtain a plug converter for just under £2 that will allow you to use it in a 13A socket, this is the way to go as the majority of manufacturers will void the guarantee if you cut the plug off and fit a standard 13A plug top, at the same time when you purchase the plug converter ensure you purchase one with a fuse adapter.I am glad to report that my wife loves this hair dryer, she says that it is quiet, drye's her hair faster, does not tangle and stops that fly away static problem, she is definitely over the moon with it, so although it is a bit pricey it does everything it says on the box and with it being Swiss made gives you confidence that it should last for years, highly recommended.

Lovely quiet hairdryer with flexible, long cord. My hair requires much less styling and straightening using this hairdryer. My only gripe is that it came with a European plug only, so I had to buy an adapter for use in UK.

Really efficient! Dries my thick hair really fast. And much quieter than my previous drier which wasn't this powerful at all.

It is not at all quiet

Good performance. Not too heavy and the cable swivel stops to cord getting tangled.Not as silent as you might expect for something with the word silent written on it also comes with an eu plug
