GREAT for HRV
I already owned the older version but wanted this to measure my HRV (Heart Rate Variability). I use an android app called HRV4Training (Cost me about $13 aud). After a month of daily HRV measurements, the magic started and I can pretty much predict when to go harder or back off with my training. The added bonus is that If I am prone to getting sick because I am fatigued I can also back off on the training (I work in an airport and sick passengers cough over everyone). I don't use it for duathlons or triathlons so the inbuilt stuff is not much use for me. I DID have an issue recently where I was updating the firmware and it froze and would not even turn on. I reached out to Scosche Australia and after a while (DAYS) they answered and simply said use an iPhone to update. Not knowing anyone with an iPhone it took a while. When I eventually convinced an iPhone user to download the software it updated in about 2 minutes and has been perfect ever since.
