Hello jojo,The Juki DX7 comes with a generous amount of 12 presser feet. They are: the Standard Presser Foot, Zipper Foot, Overcast Foot, BlindStitch Foot, Buttonhole Foot, Manual Buttonhole Foot, Walking Foot, Patchwork Foot, Quilt Foot, Open Toe Foot, Edge Sewing Foot, and Smooth Presser Foot.

Q: Does this machine have a speed control to allow for slower or faster sewing? How many stitches does it sew per minute? Thank you

Yes there is a slider switch to adjust speed. Maximum stitches per minute is 1050. If you go to Jukihome.com you can see a specification sheet for the machine and its capabilities.

Q: I have some heavy duty upholstery work will this machine handle multiple layers of fabric/piping. I says only 3 thickeness of denim and I need more?

I love my DX7 for piecing quilt tops and micro piecing. I just finished some small quilted purses with zipper and pockets with about 5 layers. Machine did great, but I would recommend the Juki TL2010Q straight stitch machine if you are going to use heavy fabrics like denim. I love the 2010 and it will sew through anything and is also great for piecing.

Q: Do I have to use Juki's bobbins?

it uses 15 class plastic bobbins.
