I got this sphygmomanometer for my best friend, who is more like a sister to me, works full-time as an RN, and always carries a stethoscope around in her bag.She thinks this model performs well, gives accurate readings, comfortably fits average-size adults (option: adult 11), and comes with a convenient carrying case.For the price, she recommends this model to anyone in the medical field, or to someone who knows how to use/read this device properly.

This is a lightweight blood pressure cuff. The cover might not be durable enough for daily professional use but is certainly good enough for casual or home use.I compared readings with this cuff to readings taken from my old cuff. Both give similar readings.

I just read the first, excellent, review (by aguyinca, written on July 5, 2024) which appears for this < Essentials Economy Aneroid Sphygmomanometer- Adult, Size 11, Navy, Latex, Reusable- Comes with Leatherette Carry Case > and I agree with the writer that, as no stethoscope is included with this device, and even though it fits my arm just fine and appears to be extremely well-designed and constructed, it is useless for me.I suppose that if a physician or nurse (who undoubtedly already owned a stethoscope and didn't need another one) wanted to replace just a sphygmomanometer, this would be a fine purchase.But this should be made clear in Amazon's description.I have no intention to buy a stethoscope and, even if I bought one, I would not know how to use it in conjunction with this device.Truth to tell however I'm sure there are instructions and videos all over the web which would show what to do.But buying a stethoscope and finding instructions on your own should not be necessary.I hope Amazon will change the description on the product page to make clear that a stethoscope is a necessity in order to use this sphygmomanometer and, if you don't know how to interpret what you hear and read, you may have to find usage instructions.Please note that if you need ONLY a sphygmomanometer I can highly recommend this one as it appears to be of superb quality and its price is certainly not unreasonable.But if you're just an average person like me who wants a blood pressure device, this one ALONE is not for you.I'm giving it Five Stars because of the way it's designed and made and I feel that it and its manufacturer should not be penalized due to Amazon's incomplete description.Thank you for reading this.Lawrence H. While this is really well made and will do exactly what it says it will do....it's eventually. I cannot begin to imagine someone selling a product with on of the main components missing. There is no stethescope, so what good is that to the average lay person?

I got this to teach my kids how to take a BP reading and also to have a manual meter in my first aid and emergency kit. It fits well and is comfortable. It's also accurate and we've had no issues with it.

This blood pressure cuff is accurate when I compare it to my electronic one. I do prefer listening to a blood pressure rather than letting a machine tell me what a blood pressure is as machines can fail. This sphygmomanometer is marketed to people in the healthcare profession who, like myself, already have a stethoscope of some sort. The kids that do have stethoscopes I find have those Mickey Mouse ones that are as good as the disposable ones that are used in the hospital when going into isolation rooms and are pretty useless. Overall I am happy with this blood pressure cuff.

First - if you order a blood pressure cuff (sphygmomanometer), you should know they require a stethoscope in order to use it. No where on the site does it say one is included, so I didn't expect one, especially for the price point. If it had been included, the price would have been much higher (double the cost).As an EMR, I've used a number of different cuffs, and this one seems to work very well, holds pressure, and the dial is easy to read. It is an appropriate size for an adult, and fits my mom's arm well. Materials seem to be an acceptable quality as well. As someone else noted, the bulb needs to be held a certain way to work which I can get used to, but I lowered my rating by one star for this. I like it comes with a carrying / storage case to keep it clean & ready to use.For the price point, good buy.
