What is the extension column? do i need to assemble it every time i want to reach 110 inches? or do i simply just extend the legs and crank it up?

To what elevation will this tripod reach?

I placed the leg points on a circle that had a 22" radius and got these results. Measuring up from the center of that circle to the top of the mounting plate on the tripod, maximum extension was 9'-6" and minimum retraction was 3'-6". These results are most likely +or- 1".
