It passed the file test easily and feels good in the hand. Perfect size for woodworking, camping ect. The edge protector is very tight and it does have a few bumps from the forging process but considering the design, quality and price, it’s definitely five stars.I always tweak tools here and there to make them perfect and this one requires almost nothing. I think the edge protector will easily “break in” and the small bump at the bottom of the beard will disappear with the first normal sharpening. Incredibly minor stuff. The core product is rock solid in design and construction.

The hatchet itself is good, although it could be slightly sharper but not a big deal as I can probably do that myself, but the leather cover is too tight. It fits well and snug, but due to the shape of it it kinda cuts at the top as I take it off and put it back on. Either a little bigger, just a smidge, or a little rounded on the top and it would be perfect. My fear is that as I use it it'll make sufficient cuts on it that it will start coming apart.

My husband received one of this for his wood working craft and it is well crafted, well made axe.

It’s Beaver Craft what’s there bad to say?! It’s built like a tank, 90% of my carving tools are BC and I have had no complaints.

This hatchet from BeaverCraft is made from quality material. It has a nice weight to it, as well as a sturdy construction. The added leather sheath and belt loop make this hatchet highly portable and perfect to take along when you're out either walking the trail or facing off against a zombie in melee combat. No matter how you hack it, you can't go wrong with BeaverCraft's Long-Bearded Bushcraft Hatchet!

It looks great, the handle is comfortable, the weight, and balance is perfect, and the bearded design lets me choke up on it for great control when working on wood. The leather sheath and belt loop carrier appear well-made and sturdy. Great for bushcraft, camping, backpacking, hand-tool woodworking. The Beavercraft hatchet is now my EDC whenever I'm out in the woods. Great companion to my BC bushcraft knife.

This axe does come pretty sharp out of the box. It is smaller than I thought it would be. Handle is well made and feels good. If taken care of should last many years. Comes with belt loop and sheath very well made and fits on axe nicely. I would recommend this for someone that is camping and needing some that will last and is small to conserve space.
