Better than a collar or a halti
Basically it is a rope looped through some ironmongery. It is so basic but effective. Our dog does seem calmer with it, when compared to something over her mouth or around her neck. Seeing other dogs, she still pulls to go to them but nowhere near as much. You can walk a 'puller' quite comfortably with this and for that I recommend it.Just don't leave it on them to run around or when taking them in the car. Our dog got caught on the clip near a headrest and within minutes was hanging by her rear, yelping in pain as it tightened with each struggle. This of course is not to do with the product; it was my mistake.Overall a good buy. I recommend it.

Usually very effective but doesn't always work.
I have used Lupi harnesses to train several of my dogs over the years and until this time they have always been really successful. However I have adopted my new dog at the age of 11 months and he has developed bad habits which the Lupi doesn't really stop, although it does reduce his pulling a bit. But the printed instructions do warn that some dogs will still pull. Delivery was very quick and the price was excellent.

still havent figured it out
well i saw someone else using this with their dog and it looked really good, it seemed to adjust itself no matter what the dog did so he was not able to slip out of it. it looked easy enough. well when it arrived it had absolutely no instructions on it which i find rather surprising considering its nothing but a limp bunch of rope with a hook. i had to look it up on the internet to see how to use it correctly and finally found a rather short video that really wasnt much help. what i do not like about this is that it does seem to rub underneath my dog's armpit and having to tie it into a knot to keep it from slipping doesnt set well with me at all. i really was under the impression that it was self adjusting depending on how the dog moved. my dog has slipped out of his harness before when trying to go after a cat, it really is that easy. also once you figure out how to get the darn thing on, you basically just tied a knot to keep them from slipping out of it so i dont really find this breaking technology at all and am rather disappointed. so mine sits in a drawer and was not able to return since i threw away the packaging. if there is a secret to making this the end all be all of harnesses, i have yet to figure it out!

Extremely effective at stopping your dog from pulling.
Very simple to fit, once you have worked it out. My dog got used to me putting it on him and taking it off very quickly. No pinching or hair loss. Very effective at stopping him from pulling, breaking a very bad and annoyingly dangerous habit, after which we return to a normal lead again for a few months. Then it is back to this clever piece of kit for a while to break the re-emerging habit. It has lasted well. Easy to carry in my pocket when the dog is running free, but easily lost. I have a spare now. Normal harnesses just make it comfortable and easier for my dog to pull, so are not effective and positively dangerous.

Best purchase ever!
I bought this for our nine month old chocolate lab who just wouldn't heel after all the training in the world. It was recommended by a lady I bumped into on a walk to the park who had 2 very well behaved spaniels. She said I needed to get him a lupi, to which I replied " he is loopy already!"When I saw the price I thought it would be cheap enough to give it a go and I wouldn't mind if it hadnt of worked. But to my amazement it did! He thought it was a game to get it on at first, but I blame myself as I couldnt work it out! But after a lot of coaxing I managed to pop it on, over his head and get his paws through the holes. He instantly looked calmer and then I popped his lead on and off we went- for 2 hours straight he walked to heel not a problem! I was amazed to be honest as we have bought so many things for him that just ended up in the bin, this was a bargain and well worth every penny! My partner wasn't sure but as soon as he came back from their walk together he was also impressed. Well done to the company as I'm so happy with this product. The only advice I would give is you need a short lead with this.

Always loved lupi's , this one is massive however .
I bought a medium to replace an older lupi harness that lasted for 13 years and it's way bigger than its predecessor(also medium). I t was for an elderly boxer dog , we have resorted to tying a big knot in it , to make it fit.

The real answer to dog pulling
Just got back from our first walk using this Harness, and I could honestly cry tears of joy - only wish I'd bought it sooner! I have a 8 month samoyed (15Kg ish for the moment and bred to pull) who was a monster to walk - We have attended puppy classes and she is very obedient, but when it comes to loose lead work she is pretty poor - often I get home from walks and my shoulder is in agony where she has been pulling so hard. I would go as far as to say walks were becoming a bane on my existence - which is not when you want when you have a dog! However with the Lupi lead she is perfect - walks by my side no matter what distractions present themselves (though I'll be honest we didn't encounter any other dogs, that will be the real test). The minute she even contemplates pulling she turns to look at me and goes back to my side - which is the perfect response in my book. I don't know that this harness would actually train your dog to walk on a loose lead if you were to go back to using a collar - but quite frankly for the sake of my shoulder joints I don't mind! This is an invaluable bit of kit - if your dog pulls I insist you give it a go!

Great but doesn't stop pulling
I like this LUPI harness as it takes the strain off my boxers neck but it does NOT stop her pulling. She is 8 months old and has about as much brains as our pet chickens so as soon as she sees another dog she strains & pulls so hard that it's a battle to keep her still. She has a half choke collar but she will literally strangle herself when the mood takes her. The only thing that's worked is the Halti face harness but I'd tried to avoid it as it was close to her eyes with the boxers snub face.I think the LUPI is probably great on dogs that are not too powerful so it can aid control but not on the real bulldozers.
