This is my first foray into cold brewing coffee. This unit does a great job and it's easy to use. Simply grind your beans to a rough grind (be careful not to go too fine or they will bleed through the metal filter), fill the filter container up as directed, add your water, and wait 24 hours for great cold brewed coffee.You'll want to be sure to clean your filter immediately after you remove it from the carafe or it will be a challenge to remove the coffee. Also be careful not to puncture the metal filter if you use a butter knife or metal utensil to get the coffee grounds loose in the filter. I could see easily poking through the filter if you use something sharp or push too hard.Overall, this is a great unit, easy to use, and not too bad to clean. The coffee lasts up to two weeks (although does anyone really leave it that long before they drink it?) in the fridge. Lastly, cold brewed coffee is less acidic than hot brewed, and it seems to be a little smoother.

I use this every day and bought one for my mom. It’s best with course ground, but I just let the fine ground settle to the bottom and dump in my compost. This brews easy batches in one hour. I LOVE the clean look of the glass and stainless over other products with plastic lids. And I LOVE the coozy that comes with it for easy travel without worries of breaking it. I also found if you beat it up after brewing by it still tastes bolder and smoother than regular hot brews. BUY IT!!

It's good, but has a few flaws. The pros are, it's easy to use and the flavor is pretty decent if you let it soak for a solid 12-18 hours. The negatives are that the rubber/plastic seal doesnt work perfectly and will leak. The deal also has a nasty habit of coming undone which has led to me almost losing it a few times. The other negative is the mouthfeel of cold brew coffee towards the bottom of the bottle which leaves a gritty feeling in your mouth no matter how course my beans are ground (I've even tried sifting the grinds beforehand). All in all it's worth the price as long as you stop drinking before the last 10% It might be worth adding a raised lip on the bottle to catch any sludge at the bottom.

The quality of the bottle is great. It's pretty easy to use the bottle and make cold brew or ice tea. I put the bottle in the refrigerator and it will be ready for the next morning. I plan to take it with me for travel.

I was using this everyday for a year? I loved it. It makes great iced coffee and was very durable. The lid does leak if you lay it down at all, my lid actually split and cracked. The prices weren’t glued together very long before coming apart. My least favorite thing was that I would have to strain the coffee through a filter every time because the coffee ground holder in the center wasn’t sealed off. The grounds would float in the coffee and need to be filtered first. I honestly loved this thing until I found a new one that I upgraded too and now this one’s in the trash. I did love the little sleeve to keep the glass covered as well

I love it! Metal mesh holder for grounds has perfect little handle to lift out. I make 10 scoops coffee with 3 cups water and lasts 2 days of coffee. 24 hours is fine, 48 even better. Beautiful lid and jar, top quality. Buy this, it's wonderful!

I've been using this coffee maker for a few weeks now and wanted to be sure when I left the review. I've always been a 'grab an iced coffee from Starbucks' girl and decided to start saving money during the week at my office. I purchased this coffee maker without ever really having made coffee at home before and it couldn't have been more simple.I bought an already-ground Dunkin Donuts package from my grocery store for $6 and I haven't even run out yet. I pour one cup ground coffee into the middle filter thing and then 3 cups of water straight into it (it then filters out into the bottle). Be sure to pour a bit slowly since it has to go through the grounds first and will bubble up if you go too fast.It couldn't be more simple- I put the bottle in my fridge overnight (make sure it steeps at like 8-12 hours) and then I have iced coffee in the morning! One bottle gets me about two cups of iced coffee, after I add ice and milk. The 12oz package of coffee grounds is about 4-5 cups of coffee, giving me about a week and a half for a mere $6. Amazing purchase!

As someone who was spending way too much money at Starbucks, this is amazing!Results, in terms of grainy-ness of coffee is similar to a French press, so just run it through a coffee filter if that bothers you.Letting it brew overnight (8-12 hours) gets to be about the same strength as a regular cup of coffee. Letting it brew 18-24 hours gets to be about as strong as what we all know and love cold brew coffee to be.Ps I only gave a 3 for durability because it’s a glass bottle, which is prefect and wonderful, but it’s glass, can’t do anything about that. When I first bought it, it arrived broken, and they had no issue replacing it for me. I let it roll around my back seat and it’s fine, but it scares my husband because he knows how sad I’ll be if it breaks.My life is better because of it and I’ll buy it again when the time inevitably comes because I don’t know how to take care of my stuff.
