New design is not as pictured and is horrible!!!!!!!!
I have three of the old design(as pictured) and they are great pieces of kit. I'm returning my second of the new design which is pure and utter garbage.

Not built to last
If you purchase this stand, be prepared to have the right tools in your tool box. The tools included in the packaging are chintzy and the hex wrench will tend to round over when the screw doesn't turn easily. Also, be prepared to have your own set of hardware to use, as the bolts and nuts are of the cheapest quality and don't join well. The stand itself is less than sturdy and certainly not worth the $100 I paid at Guitar Center. There should be some bracing brackets on the uprights as the entire stand tends to shift to an angle when guitars are placed on it. Overall, I'm not impressed with the quality of the stand, but it'll do for now.

Why all the bad reviews?
I have no idea why everyone is giving these products such bad review. Maybe it's the sellers they're buying from or maybe I just got an authentic version. Because mine is anything but flimsy. One thing I thought could be an improvement was a lock or latch for when it's propped up. But even then, it doesn't necessarily need it. It stands straight up with or without the guitars resting on it.The complaint about it tilting if you have aone guitar on one end? Non sense. Mine doesn't move at all. I could probably see that happening with a 3 stand, but definitely not a 5 or a 7.Sure, the material isn't heavy duty or SKB quality, but for Christ's sake it's a stand. It sits still in one spot in the room. You aren't throwing it around or moving it around. Right? Unless you're on a tour or gigging really often, which if you are, I would definitely recommend buying the one built off of a case.Complaints about screws not being right or not enough screws is either the seller's fault or their own fault for losing screws and such. ProLine is a top company in making stands, why the hell would they not have the right screws or bolts? Only an amateur living in his basement would put out a product and not give the correct tools.I don't know about you guys, but regardless, I'm careful with my guitars because they are worth thousands of dollars. If you need to budge the guitar around so it rests securely in the stand, then by all means that's what you're gonna have to do. Just a few more seconds of your time. Which I'm pretty sure that happens with every stand in the world. I don't think there's ever been a stand where you simply just drop your guitar onto it and it's perfectly secure and in place.Regardless if the guitar had a basketball for a body it wouldn't be wobbling around like everyone is saying, the neck will rest on the neck rest. The two poles on the bottom are there for the guitar to just rest, and with the guitar's weight alone it won't be sliding around if you've positioned it right. It honestly seems like everyone is bashing this product for their own mistakes. Either that or they're the kind of people who order their coffee to be exactly 154 degrees fahrenheit with 6mm left of room for creamer, and if it isn't exact, their whole week is ruined.

Good stand, terrible padding
Do not leave guitars sitting in this stand for weeks on end. The foam padding breaks down some guitar finishes, leaving foam residue glued to the body and neck's exterior. If you plan to leave guitars on this stand, cover the padding with some form of cloth. The stand works great for basses or guitars, and is well made (besides the crappy foam).

Not Recommended
Very cheap construction. Pegs are about to fall out and it's brand new. One of the "shoulders" in the upper part of the fame came loose. Overall, the frame is weak, even when tightened. I don't trust it to safely hold my guitars. Definitely not worth the price. I'll be returning it to Guitar Center and looking for alternatives. Seriously, unless you get this product for twenty bucks, look elsewhere.

Works just fine.
Nothing fancy.A little bit of a pain to put together because the screw holes did not line up exactly. It took some serious force to get everything locked down. Now that it is, I expect the stand to work as advertised, and I expect to be happy with the durability. I have had a three guitar rack for 5 years, and have used it all over the US, on tour. It is nowhere near mint condition anymore, but with the assistance of a bungee cord, acts like new.Delivery was quicker than expected. Thanks

Not For Bass Guitrs
This rack will not set against the wall Neck will extend past the top of rack with a base this can be 18" from the wall. Looks like it is sitting in the middle of the room. I agree totally with other poor reviews of this product, except the poor fit part, went together like a dream if you follow the instructions. Guitars are not held in a secure fashion, if you are a fastidious loner you will do fine but add some kids, company or a dog with a big tail and you are not going to be happy.

Excellent Stand!!
As my guitar collection has grown, I decided I should buy a stand to keep them all organized and neat looking. After looking around at several different products, I decided to get this one, and I am glad I did. The metal frame feels sturdy, and is really simple to assemble. All the parts the guitars touch are padded so no need to worry about scratches. You can see the seams where the foam tubing was glued together, and it's pretty ugly, but luckily it's on the underneath side of the bar, so it's not noticeable once the stand is put together. Also, it might be a little tight to fit seven acoustic guitars on here, but if you have a mixture of acoustic and electrics, they should fit just fine.
