HIKPRO 20L - The Most Durable Lightweight Packable Backpack, Water Resistant Travel Hiking Daypack for Men & Women

I ordered this daypack for a month-long trip we were taking to Australia and New Zealand. I didn't know exactly what I needed because I have never taken such a trip before, but I knew I was limited to weight and size. It is hard to pack for a trip that includes all kinds of activities from climbing glaciers to hiking in tropical rain forests, going out to dinner and seeing friends after 30 years apart. I wasn't looking for a carry-on -- already had my limit there, but was pretty sure a day pack would come in handy. So all I knew in advance was that it needed to pack up small and be lightweight. The reviews didn't really tell me if this was the right pack for me, so I ordered it and the Outlander ! Outlander Packable Handy Lightweight Travel Backpack Daypack, Red  from a different Amazon seller to compare. They were similar and both well made, but the material of this one seems a little sturdier -- it's thicker and I just liked it more. So I gave my husband the Outlander and kept the Hikpro for myself (LOL). This little pack turned out to be FANTASTIC! I used it almost every day of the trip. Sometimes it held just my purse and my camera -- I use a big Canon SLR so it weighs four or more pounds, but other times it held that plus a coat and a change of clothes and a pair of running shoes or reef shoes. Sometimes it held several days worth of groceries. Others it held take-out. Toward the end of the trip it held lots of souvenirs to take home to those who didn't get to come. I used it biking and hiking and on trains and gondolas. It went to the beach and up mountains. It endured rain and wind and snow and cold. Oh, and sweat. I washed it twice in the washing machine, but didn't put it in the dryer. It came out perfectly and dried overnight. You can easily adjust the straps while you are wearing it, so no matter what the load, you can make it comfortable -- just be sure to pack the flat stuff next to your back. The straps are thicker and more padded than those of the Outlander, which mattered to me, but my husband didn't mind the Outlander's straps However, I noticed he didn't use the Outlander nearly as often as I used the Hikpro. The outside pockets held my water bottle and often an umbrella. Every couple of days the pack got mushed back into its little pocket and thrown back in my suitcase as we went to another place. It just takes a minute to do that. This was one of those times when I didn't know what I wanted, but got exactly what I needed. Thank you!

Easily carries two water bottles in outside pockets, and camera, rain gear, jacket, snacks. I'm 5'3" and my DH is 6'5" and we both found this daypack to work while hiking, kayaking and bicycling. We packed it in the morning and could carry a days worth of gear. These are comfortable and did protect the contents in the light rain, but not entirely water proof. When we packed to come home we simply folded up the bag and stuck it in our carry on! So glad we have two of these!

Great backpack. I was a little worried that it would be too small based on the video and pictures posted so I took some pictures myself. I'm very happy with the backpack, especially when you consider that it only costs $20. Material is light and flexible, but strong. I LOVE the deepness of the mesh pockets on the sides. So many other backpacks have pockets that are too shallow and don't hold. The mesh pockets also look to be pretty strong.

Pros: This bag is very durable, lightweight, and switches from very small to very big quickly. I take it on trips and it has been a life saver. I stuff it in my carry on bag. If the airline can no longer take carry-ons, or are weighing (I've been a few lbs over the limit) then I just transfer my essentials into this smaller bag as my "personal item".Cons: Almost perfect but the drawback of this bag is it has no shape which is fine but the zippers go halfway down the bag. If I had the zippers meet at the very top (12 o'clock) then they would separate and open the bag up with a lopsided load. Lost a few water bottles that way...luckily it wasn't something more important. Ended up always leaving zippers at the side. Mesh pockets are ok, but can also fall out because the bag has no shape. Draw strings or a zippered pocket would be nice.Overall: Really like this bag. I'll probably buy another one. Just a few improvements would make it perfect but my issues with it can be worked around with careful packing.

I just recently returned from a trip to Switzerland and bought this before I left to use as a supplemental pack for touring and day hikes etc. This was the PERFECT pack! It is lightweight, easy to take along and holds more than enough for it's intended use, including an extra sweater, tour guidebook, a hat, souvenirs and even a light lunch, with plenty of room to spare. I also holds two medium size water bottles in the side pockets and they don't slip out!It handily folds into it's own interior pocket and shrinks down to about the size of a sandwich. It also has an interior and exterior pocket, which is nice to separate small items in their own areas. Very easy to take along in a suitcase without taking up a lot of room. It is sturdy and well made. I love this pack and am now using it at home for day hikes. One great quality product at a very reasonable price.

Handy little backpack especially for travelling.

This bag is perfect, great quality has lasted me over a year now and have used regularly for city breaks or daytrips.

Great day pack for light travel

The backpack is light, appears to be well-made and claims to be water-resistant, which has yet to be proven. It neatly folds up into itself, in a few simple steps, making it easy to pop it in a suitcase or carry-on which why I purchased it.
