Cute set
Cute building set. I bought it for my 7 year old niece and she loved putting it together. It was confusing or frustrating for her.

Cute and fun building set
Really adorable Power Girls building set! The pieces assemble well together. I found the directions easy to follow, too.The only "con" I found was the base is a bit rickety (not as stable as I had hoped). I imagine I can glue the base to make it more stable, but I would have preferred not to.

Just as good as Lego brand.
My 7 yr old wanted legos but she never finished building the sets. I bought this because it was cheaper than a lego set similar in size. She absolutely loved it. Of course, she didn’t finish it. But, the structure of the set is awesome. The pieces fit well together and are not of a cheap quality like some of the other off brands. Great for smaller kids who may have a hard time keeping up with legos. This is an awesome, cheaper alternative to the Lego brand.

Sugar! Spice! And pretty much perfect PPG Brickheadz!
When these came up as something that I could request to build & review, I didn't think twice about getting them. I was a BIG fan of the original Powerpuff Girls show back when it originally aired (the reboot not so much, though ironically I actually like the Anime based on it), but just didn't ever really think that much of the sets that LEGO made for the reboot. This set however (despite quite clearly given the listing title and the box label- 'Rainbow Guardians'... LOL- NOT being officially licensed) looked REALLY good from the listing photos and thankfully was just as good in person when built. I've build dozens of non-LEGO sets at this point and know that the quality of the parts can vary massively- thankfully the parts that they used for this set were actually quite good. Heck, the fact that they had printed parts for the eyes and mouths was already an indication that this wasn't going to be a super-cheap set. Granted, this set didn't involve any large plates or tiles which is where things usually get squirrelly- but still, the parts were definitely in the upper range of the quality that I've seen. If it weren't for the double-sided plates that the build used you could almost forget that these weren't actual LEGO parts. The design and build is pretty good as well- the PPG character design obviously lends itself VERY well to a Brickheadz-style build, and they captured the details of the three girls quite well. The fact that they included two sets of eyes and mouth tiles for each of the girls (one happy and smiling and one angry) was a nice touch. You can see in the picture that I used the default ones for Blossom and Bubbles but the angry one (albeit with the mouth tile turned upside down so it's more of a smile than a grimace) for Buttercup. The only -slight- issue that I have with the design is that the mouth tiles just look -weird- since they stick out from the rest of the face. I think it would have been better to have designed it such that the mouth tile was say a 1x2 tile and they'd set it back into the face so it was more flush with the rest of the face. That is however a -very minor- nitpick, as is that I would have liked to have seen them include different-length rods for the bases so you could have them more in 'formation' (which I kind of did in the picture using a power brick under Blossom).Overall though- this is a great set for anyone who like building LEGO and the Powerpuff Girls.
