Loop Switch 2 Adjustable Ear Plugs - 3 Modes for Ultimate Control

I took a risk buying these because they are pricey and I was definitely skeptical. However, I spent several months researching earplugs with the goal of finding ways to mitigate "background noise" because I find that some noises really stress me out. The Loop Switch 2 offered ways to have adjustable mitigation, and the reviews about comfort swayed me to take the chance. I'm glad I did! First, I have really sensitive ears, so wearing in-ear headphones or many kinds of earplugs can be painful. No pain with these at all. Second, they stop the exact amount and right kinds of noises that I want to avoid: loud people/children and more subtle sounds like humming, drips, or buzzing. It makes it so much easier to have conversations or even watch movies in theatres. I used them on a long road trip when I was a passenger, putting them on the highest setting, and it helped with road noise and car sickness! I'm truly happy with how versatile these are to mitigate different noises while still allowing me to feel engaged in conversations or events. But I think the best and most unexpected part is that it lowered my anxiety immensely. I put them in and it's like a security blanket for my brain. I just feel myself becoming calm and relaxed. Are these pricey? Yes. Are they worth the price? Every penny.

They sounded gimicky but I needed something ASAP for a film festival. Fortunately, they do work well for a wide range of situations. The XS tips fit my tiny ear canals, and I am getting the knack of rotating the bodies so they sit beneath in the concha under the inferior crus (under mid-ear ridge). Once in, I can wear them all day and just dial them up and down. I find it helps to use two fingers rather than one to adjust them. As for how they work - They fit me better than disposables and because I can seat them once and then tune them throughout the day, they're a lot easier to use at in dynamic contexts like the office. I like the adjustability, and they are comfortable enough to wear all day. The tips are removable and washable (but I would not immerse the main unit, although it is reasonably sweat resistant so far). My old custom made ones were a little more noise blocking and a little more comfortable, but also six times the price a a hundred times the hassle. As for function - I put them on quietest mode on the subway, at the movies, or when my co-workers are eating a rowdy lunch in the office. Could use a few more dB reduction in the subway, but this gets it to a manageable level. The middling setting works for desk work in the afternoon or balancing busy street noise with situational awareness. The light setting, I use for talking with co-workers or other "I forgot to take them out" situations. In extremely loud settings (airplanes or wood chippers) they do sit comfortably under a pair of ear defenders. I like that can nap in them without poking myself in the head, but the brush of fabric over the earplugs can be a noise in itself, so YMMV for sleep. The carrying case lid hinge is a bit flimsy but the case is nicely compact. In practice, because I'm clumsy, I put them on a leash and use the carrying case that came with the leash instead. That fits the whole package and is a little faster to use. I'm over-sensitive to noise, so it's really helpful to have earplugs I can tune to my situation rather than having to try to swap out ear plugs or hold my dispos at the right angle to adjust the degree of blocking.

I love the Loop Switch 2 earplugs! I tried not to get my hopes up that these would make a difference in my life before they arrived, but still, I hoped maybe they would - a little at least. I needed SOMETHING to help me at this time in my life. I’ve only had the Loop Switches since April 21, 2025, and I can tell you their impact on my life is significant! I am a neurodivergent working from home with a spouse who also works from home and 2 adult children who had to move back home and who have different work schedules than me, and there are soooo many (often loud and always distracting) sounds and continuous interferences and accidental frustrations in our situation (for all of us). These earplugs help with all of that! I also have misophonia, which compounds my stress *incredibly,* but the relief I am experiencing (while using these earplugs) from NOT having to be subjected to all manner of noises NOT created by me is AMAZING. *Hearing myself chew while using the earplugs took some adjustment,* and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to handle it at all, but I am sticking with the Loop Switch earplugs because the pros outweigh the cons for me personally. Social anxiety while grocery shopping is made nearly nonexistent for me with these earplugs in, which I never could have imagined or believed until I experienced it for myself. Driving with adjustable earplugs seemed like a possible safety hazard, but, the truth is, I can still hear a lot while drowning out stressful extraneous traffic noise, and that alleviates stress for me. I would love to wear them during work all day every day, but wearing them and answering phones is a bit more than I can handle. When I can wear them during work, they definitely help me focus. I am experiencing less noise-related anger with the help of these nicely functional earplugs. I did wear them at a social event last week, and some people mentioned that I seemed “rude” or “disengaged,” because I wasn’t interacting with them as they expected, and I didn’t hear some people who were speaking to me from some distance away. Three things; I originally put the earplugs in because I had a horrific migraine and couldn’t bear the noise at this event I was required to attend, but I was also wearing them so that I wasn’t overwhelmed by people/social anxiety on top of a migraine, AND, yeah, I did retreat into my own little bubble as a result of having less extraneous noise around me because it was easy (and necessary at that time), and I was incredibly grateful for that! But, just know, these earplugs are tiny and can’t be seen by anyone from the front or back of your head, so it’s likely you will get these same types of comments. These earplugs are not cheap, but I feel the reward of experiencing less noise, stress, anger and anxiety is pretty priceless! I have recommended them to my children and truly believe they would benefit from using them. I would recommend them to anyone who is open minded about trying new things that could have a positive impact. I do wonder, though, about the lotions, oils, etc., that I’m transferring from my hands to my ears putting the earplugs in and pulling them out of my ears several times per day. Prioritize cleaning your ears, hands and earplugs if using any earplugs. I’m sticking with Loop Switch 2 earplugs… and, yes, I have tried and daily use all 3 “switches!” (I just opened the one Loop Link I ordered, and it’s fantastic, and I would say a *must-have accessory* for these very tiny earplugs!)

After comparing these to the Loop Experience 2, I ended up going with these Loop Switch 2, simply because they had a wider range of performance options, for not a whole lot more money, and definitely worth the value! I have had tinnitus for over 30 years (due to a former job exposure issue), which I've lived with for a majority of my adult life. Any exposure to super loud noise can trigger it to be even worse at any given moment - especially prolonged exposure to loud sound, such as in a festival or concert environment. I've sometimes avoided events that might be super fun simply because I was concerned about prolonged exposure to noise, without having to walk around with typical foam plugs sticking out of my ears, which, while protective, muffle sound, music, voices, and make it nearly impossible to communicate by speaking with anyone. My family wanted to attend a recent outdoor concert (we're in FL and it's been very nice here for "winter"), but I was concerned about my ears - the common after-concert ringing in the ears, which many experience, doesn't simply fade away for people with tinnitus, and can permanently make it worse. So I wanted to be able to have fun with my family and enjoy the concert, while also protecting my ears. So I started doing research. After receiving the Loop Switch 2 earplugs, which come with 4 different sizes of the included silicone plugs that go into your ear (size medium is already applied by default, but they are super easy to slide off and change to your liking/fit/comfort), I got into my car, which has an audiophile-quality Mark Levinson sound system (translation: you can play it as loud as you want and there is nothing but amazing, full, LOUD sound, without distortion - a near-perfect testing environment without being at an actual concert or in a sound studio). You simply insert the silicone ear bud into your ear (it does NOT go deeply into the ear like some competitor products!), and twist so that the exposed "loop" gently sits in the bottom of your ear, just behind your bottom lobe. I swear, as someone who absolutely HATES things in/on my ears, these things are SO comfortable (just as so many have described in other reviews)!!! I mean, literally so comfortable you could wear them all day and not notice, with no added ear pressure, no discomfort... nothing negative from wearing them. Full Disclosure: yes, after putting them in, my already-existing tinnitus seemed louder, but it's kind of like when you plug your ears and talk, your voice seems super loud - in fact, that's how Loop describes you know they're applied correctly. So I turned on the music, switching between different types, from classic rock to classical, to country, to heavy metal. The first thing I noticed, across all volumes (not always playing it loud, but sometimes...) was that I could actually HEAR the music! Sure, there was a subtle muffling effect, but unlike foam plugs and other brands, I felt I could hear all the instruments, all the words, everything clearly, while still getting the emotional feel of the warmth, more subtle bass, all the good parts of music, but none of the screeching loudness. I am usually quite skeptical of wild claims of amazing performance, and while these are not powered (no batteries, no charging, nothing, just slip them easily in and enjoy)... I have to say how surprised I was at how clear and understandable the music was at all times. NOW... the Switch 2's are a higher-priced option to, say, the Experience 2's, because the Switch 2's have 3 settings (yes, believe it or not, on those tiny loops, there are 3 detents, or little bumps one can feel by simply sliding the outer portion of the loop ring forward or backward to 1 of 3 distinct stopping points. The first being described as being most appropriate for hearing spoken conversation around you, like talking to your concert-going friends or family, while still protecting your ears. The second being described by Loop as closest to the Experience 2's sound, a little less open, to block a bit more loud highs, while being ideal for listening to loud sound. And the 3rd being closest to Loops other product (I think it's called Quiet), or one of the more muted options, which definitely cuts out more of the highs, and feels a bit more muffled, but definitely still allows for hearing the music pretty well. I actually found it convenient to switch between the 3 settings - without ever having to remove them - during the concert, depending on what type of song was playing, and just how loud the highs or bass was. It was very convenient, and very effective, and I didn't feel like I missed a thing by wearing them (I've been to a number of concerts over the years, but have unfortunately never worn any plugs before, and I've paid the tinnitus price, believe me). The Loop plugs not only are comfortable, they're stylish, and come in multiple colors (I bought basic matte black). Although they never felt like they were going to come out, no matter how many times we were on our feet, I would recommend the silicone "neck connector" (kind of like a glasses holder around the neck), if only because the included case is so tiny, it's difficult to store them back in it for short periods of time (ok, this is kinda gross, but especially if there may be a bit of ear wax on the silicone pads). They are small enough they'd likely get lost in a bag, or maybe end up being dropped on the gross ground. The silicone cord easily slides over the silicone plugs and holds on to the tiny posts just behind where the silicone plugs slide over the post with the filter built in. Honestly, I didn't buy the Loop-branded cord because it was very over-priced. I purchased an identical one on Amazon for less than 1/2 the OEM cord, which also has the same magnetic connectors, to hold them together around your neck when the plugs are hanging around and not in your ears - definitely worth it. Overall, the Loop Switch 2 plugs are amazing, and outperformed even the Loop Experience 2's which I had the opportunity to try - they were also good, but didn't perform to the level they were advertised - very good protection, but for whatever reason the Switch 2's had a more natural, full, warmer sound (listening to the exact same music over and over for comparison), while the Experience 2's... also great... but a bit of a step behind the Switch 2's, with not quite the same warmth and fullness as the Switch 2's. The only reason I'm going with 4 stars instead of 5 is because the case could be improved... a bit bitter, and not like playing Rubik's Cube to get the earplugs back in correctly and quickly), and also because, while there were times I switched between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd settings, there is very little appreciable difference between 1 and 2 (the more open sounds), with 3 being the most muted. Again, not taking anything away from the quality, but seems like that qualitative difference could be a bit more pronounced and appreciated at this price point. Highly Recommend!!!

I’d rate these 5 out of 5 stars. I’ll be honest, I was skeptical when I first bought these. The idea of reducing sound at a concert while still enjoying the music seemed almost too good to be true. Then I took them to two metal concerts with my kids. Now I absolutely understand the hype. These earplugs have completely proven their worth, and I’m incredibly happy I bought them. The adjustable modes are fantastic The biggest advantage of the Loop Switch 2 is the ability to adjust the level of sound reduction without swapping earplugs. At concerts, I typically: * Start on the lowest noise reduction setting * Move to the middle setting as the night progresses * Occasionally test the highest setting For me, the highest setting is a little too much for concert enjoyment. I can still hear the music clearly, but it starts to feel slightly over-isolated. That said, I absolutely love having that option available because I’ve also used the highest setting for sleeping, where it works wonderfully. The flexibility is what makes these special. What they actually sound like It’s honestly difficult to describe until you experience it. These aren’t electronic. There are no batteries. No active noise cancellation. Instead, they simply reduce the volume of the world around you. The best way I can explain it is this: I can still hear the entire band. I can still hear the vocals. I can still hear the instruments. I can still enjoy the full experience. But the painful volume is gone. There is no ear fatigue. No cringing during particularly loud moments. No ringing ears after the show. For me, that alone makes them worth every penny. It’s almost like creating your own personal cocoon inside the venue where you can enjoy the performance without punishing your hearing. Conversations are still possible Another thing that surprised me is how easy it is to carry on conversations while wearing them. Unlike foam earplugs that make everything sound muffled and distant, these still allow me to communicate with the people around me. That’s a huge advantage at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other loud venues. Comfort Comfort is excellent. Once you learn how to insert them properly: * They stay in place * They don’t back out on their own * They don’t create pressure points * They don’t hurt my ears In fact, after a while I completely forget they’re there. The included ear tips are also a big plus. I ended up moving down one size from what I initially expected. It’s also worth noting that each ear can be different. I strongly recommend testing the included tip sizes before heading to a concert so you can find your ideal fit. Once you get the sizing right, you’ll probably never need to change them again. Switching modes When changing between the damping levels, there is a click, but it’s something I tend to feel more than hear. The adjustment mechanism is tactile and works reliably, but I do wish the click was just a little more pronounced. That said, I’ve quickly learned to simply glance at the position of the adjustment lever to verify both earplugs are set to the same level. It’s a very minor complaint and doesn’t affect usability once you’re familiar with them. Retention and accessories I also tested them with the optional magnetic neck cord accessory. Honestly? Unless you’re planning on: * Jumping into a mosh pit * Running around constantly * Doing something unusually active I don’t think it’s necessary. Once properly inserted, these stay put extremely well and don’t move around on their own. For normal concert use, I found the accessory completely unnecessary. Case The included carrying case is compact and easy to toss into a pocket, but it’s probably my biggest design complaint. The issue isn’t necessarily the case itself—it’s how the earplugs are retained inside it. The Loops don’t click into place or lock into the case in any meaningful way. They simply rest in molded recesses inside the case. There are no magnets, clips, snaps, or retention features holding them in place. Because of that, I’ve never felt completely comfortable attaching the case to a keychain or tossing it into a bag where it might get bumped around. If the case were to accidentally open, the earplugs could potentially fall right out since they’re not secured to the case at all. Personally, I would have loved to see Loop add: * Magnetic retention * A click-in design * Small locking tabs Anything that would positively secure the earplugs inside the case. It wouldn’t need to be a strong lock, just enough to give confidence that the earplugs remain attached to the case if it opens unexpectedly. As it stands, the case works fine for pocket carry, but I think the overall design would feel much more premium if the earplugs actually snapped or clicked into place. 👍 Pros: * Adjustable noise reduction levels are incredibly useful * Excellent for concerts and festivals * Eliminates post-show ear ringing * Preserves music quality surprisingly well * Conversations remain easy * Extremely comfortable * Multiple tip sizes included * Stay securely in place * No batteries or electronics required * Discreet and attractive appearance * Highest setting works well for sleeping * Easy to carry in a pocket 👎 Cons: * Highest setting may be too aggressive for some concert situations * Mode-switch click could be more pronounced * Takes a little experimentation to find your ideal tip size * Earplugs don’t lock into the carrying case Final Verdict: I’d rate these a solid 5 out of 5. The reality is that my complaints are incredibly minor and none of them would stop me from buying these again. As a member of Generation X, I spent plenty of time around loud music in the 80s and 90s without giving hearing protection a second thought. Looking back, that was probably a mistake. These things are simply smart. They protect your hearing. They let you enjoy the show. They eliminate that awful ringing afterward. They’re comfortable, lightweight, easy to carry, and easy to use. Most importantly, they allow you to enjoy live music without sacrificing your long-term hearing health. They’re 100% worth the investment. My only real regret is that products like this weren’t around when I was going to concerts in the late 80s and 90s.

I recently used these on a long-haul flight and overall came away pretty impressed. The biggest benefit for me was cutting down the constant ambient airplane noise without completely disconnecting from everything around me. They made the cabin noticeably more comfortable and less mentally exhausting during the flight. The adjustable sound levels ended up being my favorite feature. Being able to switch between different levels depending on the environment was much more useful than I expected and made them feel more versatile than standard earplugs. Material and build quality also felt good overall. The silicone tips felt soft and flexible rather than stiff or irritating, and the earplugs themselves felt well made without feeling overly bulky. That said, after several hours I did start to notice them and eventually took them out for a while. I’m also not someone who regularly wears earplugs, so I think part of that is simply getting used to having something in your ears for extended periods. I could see comfort improving over time with more use. Not perfect for all-day continuous wear yet for me personally, but I can see them becoming more comfortable with regular use. Who It’s For Great for travelers, commuters, concertgoers, or anyone who wants to reduce noise without fully blocking the world out like traditional noise-canceling headphones.

These work ok. I like the dial to control how much noise cancelling. I work in a call center with cubicles, and even on the highest setting for noise cancellation, I can still hear most things clearly and quite loudly. I wish they damped the sound just a little more. Strangely, I do not prefer to listen to music while I'm working as I find it distracting. I absolutely love the color, I got the emerald green. They are also mostly comfortable to wear for a long time, but sometimes after a few hours they do make my ears ache and sweaty (lol). I should note that I suffer from tinnitus as well, which is why I didn't opt for something completely noise cancelling. I thought these would help with drowning out the noise enough to get rid of distraction, but alas... I'm still distracted. I also got these because they are advertised for festivals and concerts, they do not work well for that. Yes, they do dull the loud noises, but not quite enough and clearly enough. I'm a musician, and I do wear these for some rehearsals when my ears are feeling particularly upset. they do help in this instance and I notice less ringing in my ears after a session. They are expensive to "try" so I do recommend that if you are looking into these, or a similar product, do research to see which ones will work best for you.

Purchased these to help block wind noise when riding motorcycle. Had previously purchased a cheaper off-brand pair, at about 1/5 of the cost of these. The cheaper off-brand worked ok, but after about an hour or two got uncomfortable. So I purchased these and have tried them out, so far I’m impressed. I wore them both with full face and half helmet. They remain in ear and I have not experienced the discomfort after wearing them for an extended period of time or distance. Also, while the off-brand did reduce wind noise, these I felt significantly reduced the wind noise over the cheaper set. I did not switch between the other modes, just had them at the quiet level as I was testing for over all wind noise reduction. Even with them at the quietest level, I could still hear the motorcycle engine, radio, and surrounding traffic, just with much less wind noise. I would recommend these for wear on your motorcycle.

Ik heb veel last van overprikkeling bij geroezemoes of langdurige harde geluiden. Op aanraden van een collega loops besteld nadat ik eerder bij een bekende Chinese webshop goedkope oordopjes kocht die eigenlijk wel bevielen maar ik wilde nu wel het echte werk: De switch 2 zijn handig want het zijn in feite 3 dopjes in 1 met verschillende mate van de demping. Ik mis alleen een koord zodat ik de loop oordopjes om mijn nek kan dragen maar deze zijn los verkrijgbaar. Ander nadeel met dit soort dopjes is oorsmeer. Ik doe regelmatig wat olie in mn oor zodat m'n oor schoon blijft en dat ga ik nu ik de loops vaker ga gebruiken vaker doen. Want oh ja dit bevalt wel zo. Waarom? Vroeger had ik na een hele dag naar een conferentie of beurs gaan dagenlang last van overprikkeling klachten en dat is nu veel minder. Top. Ik gebruik trouwens vaak de eerste stand. Ik merk dat stand 2 en 3 echt enorm dempen en dat hoeft meestal niet.

Tras recién recibir mi diagnóstico de autismo, comencé a investigar sobre los tapones debido a mi sensibilidad sensorial. Entre todos los modelos de Loop elegí estos debido a la versatilidad para elegir el nivel de cancelación de ruido. He de aclarar que si buscas un silencio total, estos no son los tapones para ti. Son capaces de disminuir el ruido a un punto donde llega a escucharse como un susurro. Los ruidos fuertes y ensorrecedores como los autos, el ruido del tráfico, construcciones, gritos, música alta son disminuidos considerablemente de acuerdo al nivel que elijas. En general, han sido un gran apoyo para llevar a cabo mi vida cotidina sin problemas

Si vives en un lugar ruidoso, escuchas los ronquidos del vecino, la puerta del ascensor cuando tu vecino va a pasear al perro a las 3 de la madrugada y te despierta, creo que estos tapones son para ti. Y sí, vivo en una gran ciudad, mucho tráfico, y la paredes del edificio parece que son de celofán porque se escucha todo (literal... en fin). Dormir se ha convertido en un acto de fe, ruidos a todas horas: tráfico, claxon, alarma. La tele del vecino y su flamante 5.1 viendo Misión Imposible 8 (gracias por compartir). También trabajar es algo complicado, bien si estás en una oficina: ruidos, teléfonos, tu compañero que chilla haciendo una llamada, el comercial que se pasea con el móvil y te despista. Puedes usar tapones de silicona (que no nos engañemos, van bien) o puedes usar estos Loop. Que son la leche. Si decidí elegir estos Loop es por los tres modos de "transparencia". Cada tapón permite elegir el nivel de ruido exterior que escucharemos. Y sí, funciona. Se nota. Dispone de una ruedecita donde la giras y eliges entre el nivel de dB que bloquea. Decir que son pequeños, cómodos. Te los colocas y no los notas. Pero sí que notas que el sonido que percibes es mucho menor. Para dormir, no molestan nada ya que no sobresalen. Y son muy cómodos ya que puedes dormir de lado sin temor. He probado a dormir con ellos y perfecto, no se notan. Y sí, son muy ligeros. Principalmente, los uso para trabajar o en casa cuando hay mucho ruido. Te permiten concentrarte en lo que estás haciendo. Vienen en una cajita muy pequeña que te permite ponerla en algún llavero y llevarlos siempre contigo (en las llaves del coche por ejemplo) así cuando llegas a la oficina, los tienes. Sólo un pero. La ruedecita de selección de modo, es un poco sensible, por lo que eliges el modo de aislamiento y cuando te los colocas, es fácil que se "cambie" de modo. Pero bueno, si llevas un poco de cuidado, no hay problema. Para mi son unos tapones excelentes. De acuerdo que no son económicos. Y sí, probablemente en Instagram verás otras marcas a mucho menor precio. Pero a mi estos me parecen increíbles. Los recomiendo por supuesto. De hecho el tema es, ¿cómo no los he usado antes? Muy pero que muy recomendables!!
