New Made Item: Copied from an original in the IMA collection, this is a correct reversible summer to fall oakleaf pattern A camouflage German WWII M43 field cap. Constructed of waxed water resistant cotton canvas with heavy stitching and correct M43 pattern. Because of the inner band, while these are correctly sized they might feel a bit snug, so if you want a roomy feel go one size larger. Note: The fabric used on the reversible camouflage is only surface dyed, as there is a different pattern on each side. We do not recommend washing them as the dye is very easily rubbed away. Also, as with the originals, the brim is stiffened by cardboard. Do not wash in water, dryclean only: Petroleum Solvent, do not bleach. There is a care label on the plastic packaging for each of these, as we cannot attach a label to the cap.

Comfortable, Sturdy, Functional.
I purchased this cap to use as part of a WW2 Airsoft kit, and it exceeded my expectations. It is comfortable, and easy to reverse. The brim holds it's shape quite well despite being designed to be reversible and thus necessitating the brim to be soft enough to bend back and forth.The material is very sturdy, and the hat held up against being drawn through thickets, and tree branches.Beyond that for any war-gamers, the camouflage is quite functional (Only have used the Spring Side so far.).Overall a high quality item, I'm very impressed, and would buy again, if it ever got misplaced, or worn out down the line. Would recommend (and have) to anyone considering purchasing it.

Decent
Fits as sized.Bill is made of cardboard, very flimsy, a plastic insert may have been better.Summer camo good, reverse fall camo, mine, half tan half black.I heavily coated mine with Scotch Guard (water resistant) on the summer side since the fall black doesn't appear to be a functional or effective mix for me.Over all good enough.

Authentic hat
It will go good with my oakleaf pattern smock for archery hunting.

Great hat
It's a nice hat on its own, so good I am still toying with the notion of wearing it about in public. It's extremely high quality and stands up to the elements quite nicely! I was surprised at how warm and dry my camping experience was with the addition of this and my smock.Great purchase. Even if you're not a reenactor or collector, and just want a nifty hat with reversible patterns that can withstand some rain, this is the one!

Wrong size and if you want to send it back you have to write your credit card info on the return slip. Gave it to my brother and it fit him perfectly tho. I ordered the largest size btw. It was tiny and i couldn't sttetch it out. Otherwise its a good hat.

Given the fact the hat is reversible, it is made of two separate fabrics sewn together. In addition, each fabric is thick. This makes the hat very bulky, stiff, and awkward. The material is not at all breathable. It seems to run small and fits very tight. There are no problems with the craftsmanship, and the camouflage pattern looks good. The hat is very tall in the front and looks goofy. It is not very comfortable to wear because of the thick stitching and seams.

Doesn't Fit!
I like the cap for historical reasons, but it's way to small...I'll give it to someone with a small head. Disappointed!
