I thought my Betta's were on lazy side, but turns out room temperature is not warm enough. I have 3 small tanks and tried another filter that didn't work out for me because the knob to adjust temp was hard to manage and getting the right temp took too many adjustments.This heater is the right size and the external controller the easiest to use. Digital setting of the temp and monitoring was extremely easy. They work as advertised! Fish swims near it without problem so heating is stable.Bottom line....fish are active.

So far so good. Brings the temp up slowly but surely- better safe than sorry to not shock your fish. Setup was easy. Cord is about 3’ to 4’ so make sure you’ve got an extension cord if you need more than that. Controller on the cord is closer to the plug than the heater in the event it needs to be submerged quite deep. The suction cups are very sturdy and can be positioned vertically or horizontally so long as it stays fully submerged. I put mine deeper down so it won’t be affected or exposed during 30% water changes. I like the display with current temp always on, and red indicator light meaning it’s heating while the green light means it has reached it’s set temp. Will update if we experience anything other than smooth sailing.

Works quite well for my 4 gallon tank. Doesn’t bother the fish. Keeps the temperature consistent. Doesn’t feel cheap. Nice light up display. Brings the water to temp quickly. Easy to pop right in your tank, no assembly required. Rarely has an issue sticking but I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I love the thermostat attached to the heater. Makes it easy to see how warm my tank is in real time, as well as set to whatever temp I need. Only downside was that the packaging smelled horrible upon opening. The product itself was fine, but the box and bag it came in (inside, not outside) smelled extremely strong of cigarettes.

Keeps temperature level and is easily adjusted, comes with two suction holders and keeps it well in place. Functional and easy to set up.

This is a fantastic aquarium heater. With the two suction cups you can position it however you like and the cord is fairly flexible and nice and long. You can't make the cord do sharp 90-degree bends, but you can get fairly close so routing the cable is relatively easy. I highly recommend you do this before you add water and fish.The heater appears to allow a max of two degrees above or below the set point before it clicks off and on respectively, but it doesn't seem to always range that far. Not sure what it's algorithm is. It really does click on and off with a noticeable noise. My aquarium is in my bedroom and the clicking sometimes grabs my attention when I am falling asleep, but that's just me. You can set it to quite a wide range of temps, which makes it super flexible.On a lighter note, the baby snails in my tank LOVE to crawl up and down the heater before they grow a bit and then venture off when they get big enough.

I received an “E1” error message from the second I plugged in this heater. It went on and off sporadically for a few weeks and then the heater completely stopped working overnight one night. My aquarium water dropped 12 degrees overnight and now I’m afraid I may lose my betta to shock!! So so disappointed with this heater- I should have returned it the second I plugged it in and saw it was glitchy

This u.v.filter is really doing the trick for my aquarium! Initially you couldn't see into it..now you can. The only thing I can figure out is how to turn m it off without unplugging it...
