SAT Math Bible 1st Edition

I love this book. It totally fills in the blanks in my SAT study course. This book explains each section of the math section like having a tutor. It is used in conjunction with the College Boards Official SAT 2nd addition blue book. Using the two of them together gives you a lot of practice. I also use College Boards SAT Online Course. I feel the three of them offer great preparation for the SAT. I highly recommend using this book to easily gain a better understanding of the math section of the SAT and improve your math section score. This company also offers the reading and writing SAT bible books. I highly recommend them all. I am not a tutor and I am a regular consumer. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about the PowerScore books.

I struggled constantly with the Math section of the SAT. Granted, I never put forth very much effort in the ways of actual preparation for the Math section (I felt that being a 720+ scorer in the verbal and writing sections was sufficient to negate whatever drawbacks a low math score might engender). Having taken the SAT a few times, I scored 490 in the math section consistently. For the sake of brevity, I'll just say that approximately 40 days of intensive study with this guide (with the occasional help of a college mathematics professor) helped my score jump to 560. That's right, in little over a month I saw this tremendous of an improvement. I can only imagine how beneficial this guide could be to someone who already has a fair degree of intrinsic strength in this area and devotes study to this guide for a greater duration of time. Just---superb. There are no words for this. HANDS DOWN does not get any better than this.

awesome book! a must for sat students and tutors

My mom bought this for me because I had a 530 on the math section the first time I took the SATs. I never thought that the SATs would have a ton of word problems, and that really threw me off. However, after getting this book, I studied for 4 months prior to my exam time and worked at least 20 minutes a day on this book, i was able to really bring up my score.Every page develops your skills in all areas of the math segments. I absolutely love all of the examples it gives and it explains in detail everything that you need to do.This SAT Math Bible helped me increase my 530 score to a 680 on my second SAT test! If you have any concerns about the math segments, GET THIS BOOK! It really helps, and it provides very realistic examples that can appear on the tests- plus, it gives very helpful hints when it comes to memorizing formulas, etc.I recommend getting this book along with the Official SAT Guide book (second edition)- it comes with great practice tests- and with these two, you will be all set!

Highly recommend SAT Bible series, My kid use these series of books for self-study and improves by as much as 200 points on SAT test.

This book has helped my son drastically improve his score on the SAT Math section. This book provides tips and trick on how to tackle the toughest problems by breaking them down into smaller, much easier components. Tips and tricks are given to conserve time on tougher questions(last ones) by spending a fixed amount of time on the first questions. Overall, this book is a must buy because it covers all topics and questions on the Mathematics section giving you hints and key ideas to look for when approaching a specific intimidating problem. Tons of practice questions are provided so that you can master a specific questions asked in that particular section(Chapter).Pros- Tons of information- Answers (Provided with in depth equations, strategies and explanation)- Confronts every type of question asked on the Math section- Practice Problems- Tips on how to approach "Hard" or level "5" questions without stressing outCons- Length of the book about 470 pages may be intimidating to some students considering the fact that it only covers "one" section of the SAT.
