Great reach! Nice durability! Works well on mostly clean gutters. But......
The reach is wonderful. The tool is heavy duty. Used with the brush, I can easily reach the top of the siding on 2nd floor to clean it, but for gutters, this tool leaves a bit to be desired.1) The angled end is bent at approximately 90 degrees. But really, when you're trying to blow the debris out of a gutter on the 2nd floor, you need the angle to be, at or close to, an angle of approximately 180 degrees. In other words, the water path should go straight up and then come straight back down into the gutter. Because the angle is 90 degrees, if the pole goes straight up, then the water just blows across the top of the gutter (think of it like an upside down 'L'). To correct this problem, you have to pull the bottom of the pole (i.e., the part that you're hanging onto) away from the wall of the house, to forcibly direct the water into the gutter. As you walk away from the house, your vertical reach decreases. The top end will still be 12 feet away from you, but it's no longer a full 12 feet above you. In other words, if you fully extend this pipe to 12 feet and hold it perfectly vertical, it will reach 12 feet up. But if you have to hold it at an angle so the water is directed into the gutter, then you lose a few inches to a foot or two of vertical reach, depending upon the angle necessary to direct the water into the gutter. I'm 6' 5" tall. With my arms outstretched above my head, I could easily reach my gutter at 18 to 19 feet off the ground with the Guttermaster fully extended. But at my father's house, where his gutter is closer to 25 feet off the ground, I still had to go a fair ways up a ladder to reach the gutter on the angle necessary to direct the water into the gutter.2) At my house, I have two outside faucets. One is at household pressure and the other one is at "street" pressure. The pressure from the household pressure faucet wasn't sufficient to blow anything out of the gutter. The "street" pressure faucet really blasted it. But the heavy, wet, mucky, debris resisted the water's pressure. It splattered mucky water everywhere, but it still persisted in the gutter too. I think the ability to connect different nozzles might help. A fan pattern with a smaller nozzle hole would increase the pressure at the gutter end, and the fan spray could help to push the debris. As it is, it's just a beam of water under pressure. My broom nozzles for my hose produce more pressure than the Guttermaster provided. I'd use the broom nozzle on my hose, except I still need to get it up to the gutter. It would certainly be helpful to be able to attach a broom nozzle to the Guttermaster, and angle it into and along the gutter bottom.3) I can see how the Guttermaster would work well with a few dry debris in a gutter that's been routinely kept clean, but for my application, where the gutter hasn't been cleaned since last year, and I've got several 3" to 4" tall Maple tree seedlings growing in the muck at the bottom of the gutter, the Guttermaster just couldn't blow the stuff out of the gutter. It wanted to stay in the gutter. I fought with it for over an hour before throwing in the towel. I'll try again another day, or just get out the tall aluminum ladder and go up there -- which is exactly what my wife doesn't want me to do.In all fairness, I'm not certain that a similar product by another manufacturer would do any better at least without a better angle at the top. This product seems to have been created as an extendable broom for cleaning high walls, etc., with the brush and then some brilliant marketing person at the manufacturer came up with the idea to sell it as a gutter cleaner too. It's much better suited for cleaning walls. The angle is perfect for that application.I think the Guttermaster would work perfectly to keep clean gutters, clean, when used fairly often. But for the initial cleaning, the Guttermaster didn't seem to be up to the task. But once I get the gutters cleaned out by hand, and I install screens on the gutters, I'll bet this product will do a great job at blowing the debris off the top of the screens!! I'm not going to return this product to Amazon, nor am I going to throw it out.

Can't live without it
For the price you can't go wrong. We live on the side of a cliff in a rainforest overlooking the ocean and our gutters are 14' above our decks. Cleaning out our gutters is extremely dangerous. Since it's always raining (13++ ft per year) climbing a ladder is not the safest proposition. If I fall, and I get lucky I will land on our deck, if I don't get lucky I'm looking at a 100 foot drop down a rocky cliff. My wife just can't handle watching me clean them, but someone has to hold the ladder... :-) So getting to them and cleaning them has been both dangerous and challenging... Due to the rain our gutters fill with moss, lichens, twigs, leaves, pine needles, pine cones... several times a year. To make matters worse, all of our potable water comes from the rain collected off of our roof. A clogged gutter = little to no water making it's way to our cistern, and of course you can only tell they are clogged when it's raining...I think too many people are expecting gold and silver for pennies. When i read the initial reviews, I was thinking this might be kind of junky. But for the price the quality is right on the dollar. So based on the price this is a five star product. If this thing cost more, i would not give it five stars. The hose adapter and valve could have been made from brass for durability and long life, but you get what you pay for, and I am very pleased with this product. As for blasting out the gutters, this will do the trick. Our gutters were clogged the other day, so I got to put the new toy to work. I was able to stand on the ground and blast everything out of all of our gutters in under 10 minutes. When I climbed up to look the gutters... They were as clean as if I had done it by hand followed up with spraying them out. What was normally a 2-3 hour very dangerous job is now a 10 minute walk around my house. The nozzle produces excellent pressure and blasted everything out of the gutter. The way my gutters are made, the brush is of no use, so I can't say anything about. But if the nozzle is powerful enough to blow the moss, lichen, shingle gravel, pine needles, pine cones, twigs... out of the gutter why would I need a brush. If this failed I was going to purchase a pressure washer and the attachments for cleaning gutters, and for a basic system, i was looking at over $500. For under $100 this product has saved the day. Very impressive and well worth the $$$

Wear your old clothes.
This thing is kind of crazy. It actually does work, and allows you to clean your gutters while standing safely on the ground. However, (a) you're going to get really wet, don't kid yourself, and (b) it's a bit hard to tell whether the gutter is really clean since you can't see into it (you can kind of make a judgement by how well the water is exiting the gutter, but I found myself wondering if there was more goop that needed flushing). Also, the water shoots out forcefully sideways from a nozzle at the end of a long arm (which is what you want), but this does create a fair amount of torque as a result. You'll need at least some upper body strength to manage it, more if you plan to extend the arm to it's full length. Also, if you're trying to clean a second-story gutter from the ground, you may find the arm is barely long enough. You could probably make your own extension without too much trouble, e.g., by duct-taping on a broomstick to provide some extra length. The pole is aluminum., and the fittings are heavy-duty plastic. Seems like it will last a while and not rust.Overall, it provides good value and solves a difficult problem, but it doesn't make it effortless!
