High quality, complete installation kit
I used these stainless steel jack nuts to repair stripped screw holes on a plastic license plate bracket and they worked great! Instead of buying a new bracket for $80, I was able to repair the existing one to be stronger than new with solid stainless steel threads. The jack nuts install like rivet nuts but they are better for softer materials like plastic or thin wood because they grip a larger surface at the back. The included installation tool works well, they even included a step drill bit which was convenient. Overall these jack nuts are a fantastic value and I will consider buying them again if I need more for other projects.

Worked great, just one thing...
This worked just as it should, it came with all the tools required for use. It was good quality hardware and easy to use. It took me a minute to figure out exactly how it worked having not used them before. Besides that great product.

Makes Installation a Snap !!
Although the installation tool is not 💯 necessary, it really makes the job easier. Truly a ... 🫰.I purchased the kit to repair failing attachment of the headliner furring strips in an RV ceiling. The strips were just screwed to thin non-wood paneling. Over time the weight, thanks to gravity, along with vibration, caused the furring strips to loosen. Opinion... jack nuts really ought to have used at the factory. Stainless steel was chosen just for added/forever security. The 5M are a bit overkill, 4M would have been more than adequate. All things being equal, I would have chosen it. However the 5M was selected being more readily available.

Effective Solution for Thin-Walled Anchored Fasteners
I used these pedal nuts to mount a kayak tie-town cleat in a position where I could not access the interior to fasten a nut. With a thin plastic wall thickness, screws were not an option, especially with potential load on my tie-down straps.I measured the widest diameter of the pedal nut and chose a drill but that was ~.002 smaller. The pedal nut easily pressed through the hole and the included tool made for an efficient installation. It would have been nice to have the M4 bolts included but that's not a real concern as I specifically procured bolts with a countersink bevel that matched my cleat.

Storage box will probably be destroyed.
My oversight … there are no screws/bolts included. Also, parts are in a thin plastic box and shipped in a BAG! Plastic box was cracked, broken and useless for storage. The functional product worked well. Now my hunt for appropriate fasteners begins.

M-5 Jack Nut Installation Tool: A Rare Find and a Must-Have
After an exhaustive search for an M-5 jack nut installation tool, my journey led me to a series of dead ends. From the perplexed expressions at Harbor Freight in St. George, Utah, to the unyielding shelves of Ace and Walmart, and even the specialized yet unhelpful body and welding shops, the tool remained elusive. But persistence paid off when I finally found it. This tool is a gem – it promises fast installation and delivers on that promise. However, a word to the wise: caution is key when working with plastic. The accompanying drill can be a bit too enthusiastic, leading to over-tightening and the potential mishap of the jack nut falling out.Despite this minor caveat, the tool’s efficiency and effectiveness can’t be overstated. For anyone in need of this specific tool, I wholeheartedly recommend making this purchase. It’s a decision you won’t regret.

Great for RV Closet Shelf Repair!
The shelf in tbe closet of our 5th wheel fell down while traveling. After inspection it was noticed that the shelf support was only wood screwed to the closet wall paneling in 3 places. I patched the holes and offset new holes with these wall anchors. They were easy to install and are quite secure to the thin RV wall paneling. I got a pack of different sized M4 cabinet pull know screws and used those to hang the shelf bracket back up. Secured tightly and my shelf works great now!
