Quick and easy to fit just a 10minute job. Used them straight away ,my lawns look great.Just remember when you try to fit them some are Left handed half are right handed

These were replacement spikes for the scarifier. The unit had to be stripped down and the replacement spikes put in place. It now works perfectly again.

Took a while to figure out how to dismantle the lawn rake rotor...1) Take a photo of the complete rotor before you start (to remind you of the spring orientation) - you can see the state of mine in the picture!2) Remove 2 circlips at the end with the blue lever (out of view in my picture, if you don't have circlip pliers you will have to improvise)3) Undo nylock nut (this will drive the bearing off the shaft, and also unclamp the black plastic rotor segments which hold the springs)4) Replace the tines on the segments and fit segments as you go (note that half of the springs are wound in the opposite sense to the others)5) Clamp it all up with the nut refit the bearing and circlips.The main frustration was the fact that it was only once I'd dismantled it that I realised one pack of springs wasn't enough, so I had to order a second. This makes it quite a costly operation.

Been looking for these tunes for the Macallister rack for ages. Ordered these, fitted them and so far haven’t broke a single one yet. Excellent quality, works perfectly.

The replacement Scarifier Tines appear to be very good but only 4 stars as I have only used my scarifier once. But going by my experience so far I have no reason to believe that they deserve 5 stars.

Easy fitted and did the job

I bought a Mac Allister MSRP1800 scarifier last year. It was great at the start, but when I used it this year, I noticed that a large number of the tines had broken (after around 6-10 uses). I found these replacement tines and was pleased to read that they were not the same manufacturer as the original and hoped they would last longer. Initially I only replaced the broken ones. After my first use with the new tines, I checked again. There are a load more broken. It was easy to see which of the new and which of the old were broken by the condition of the remaining part of the spring. I replaced most of the broken ones again (I couldn't do them all as there were only enough springs for one complete replacement). The next time I used it there were more breakages so I'm back to the position I was after only two uses. I only had the machine set to a light setting as well so there shouldn't have been much load on the springs. These spring are expensive and I'm really disappointed that they are such poor quality - even worse than the originals, which only lasted for a few uses.
