Very informative and concise
Certain things are difficult to follow and implement in our diet, but it is a definitely an eye opener. Though I am a doctor myself never knew several things about our diet until I went through the literature.Concepts are explained with a logical conclusion, so that everyone can understand and realise mistakes we are doing since generations in the name of tradition and culture.I found answers to some of the questions which I was having since years.I appreciate the efforts of the author in bringing a wonderful book.

Must read for everyone
An eye opener about how the nutrients we get from milk comes at a cost of chronic health issues. Milk causes a chronic health issues such as lactose intolerance, allergies, cold, cough,asthma, acidity, menstrual cramps, PMS, diabetes, etc.And the good news is that these health issues can be reversed by giving up milk and other dairy products.Now, you may me wondering why I am believing what is written in this book?I turned vegetarian in 2018 and have been reduced consuming dairy since 2019. So, I can relate to the health benefits of reducing dairy products. I am blessed to experience these benefits:👍 Cold and cough which were frequent earlier are now rare👍 Acidity and vomiting bouts disappeared👍 Menstrual cramps and PMS symptoms are now minimal.This book is a must read. Although, it is tough to totally give up dairy products, we can atleast reduce our consumption.

The best book on the dangers of drinking milk
I have been lactose intolerant for over a decade. I knew there was something wrong with milk. I was expecting a non-Indian to write a book on the negative aspects of milk. What a surprise when a North Indian by name N K Sharma (North India consumes more milk than the South), writes a beautiful book on exactly the same subject I was looking for. While the author talks about why milk from mammals is not good, he also covers topics on demerits of pasteurization, soya milk and its risks, why except for buttermilk, all other milk products such as curd, ghee, cheese, butter are not ideal healthy food. He also covers ice creams, how dangerous they can be due to addition of several chemicals. The latter section is about nuts, such as almonds, peanuts, walnuts, coconuts, and why these with fruits and vegetables are true healthy foods. Please don't be misled by the title, there is more than 'milk' in this book. Its total value for money. I wish I had known and read this book much earlier. Though I have drastically cut my milk (and related products) intake a lot (as I'm lactose intolerant), much more needs to be done. For those into Paleo diets, veganism or people who genuinely care for bovines, this is the right book. A common myth among 'snooty' lacto vegetarians is that by buying and consuming cow's milk, they are 'helping' cows. The fact is that cows are exploited with injections to keep their udders active, and as soon as they are dry, the cows are abandoned on India's roads or sent to the abattoirs. This book is a great addition to my library which has "Eating Animals" by Jonathan Safran Foer and 'Pure, White and Deadly' by John Yudkin, which should be arriving next week.

Must read ! With an open mind
Dr. B.M. Hegde has written the forward.This is second edition, author has already published this book in 90s when vegan diet was not even discussed.It was indeed a good read.PS - I am vegan, so I read with open mind. After reading this book I feel more empathy towards animals.

Well packed and delivered on time. Book was feesh n crisp. As far as d content of d book, it is a thoroughly researched and well articulated book. A must read for vegans. Every person who blindly believes in drinking milk and terming it healthy should read this book and become aware.

Excellent. One should have this book in his library
This book is very excellent. It gives a clear understanding of the ill effects of the taking milk, especially cow's milk. One should read this book so that he can stop taking milk to avoid unnecessary and serious health problems.
