I put one out a day for my little yard squirrel Rocky, he loves them.

The squirrels LOVE these! I put three out today and a squirrel took all of them and had this look on her face like, "HOT DOG!" Reasonably-priced treats for squirrels. Will order more because around here you can't buy large, shelled nuts until the holidays.

So, the other reviewers talked about watching the squirrels figure out what these nuts were, and it's true. They do like them, but they still eat the sunflower seeds that spill out of the feeder first. I like providing these nuts because I think they're providing better nutrition for the squirrels than the sunflower seeds. I put 4-5 out twice a day and they're always gone.

Cracking these open is a feat of Herculean strength. I needed and anvil and a blacksmith hammer just to pop these suckers open. And then the nuts tasted like they spent the 90s in an old shoe that was stored in an old attic.

I bought these walnuts to feed the squirrels. They work well as a treat, about 3 at a time. Since I did not eat them, they aren't meant for human consumption, I marked them down on flavor.

My squirrel absolutely is in heaven ! Not to mention the natural teeth grinding he gets trying to get to the meat . Will be a repeat customer . American small business is a bonus !!

These are not meant for consumption obviously...every one we opened was moldy inside...no meat...not happy

These certainly are black walnuts! They are as hard to crack as the ones my dad worked on when I was a child. What was his secret? I should have paid attention.
